Originally, all the members of Akatsuki were supposed to be monsters. This is why Zetsu, Kisame, Orochimaru and Kakuzu are so freaky looking and barely seem human. Similarly, many of the names are based in that fashion. Kisame = demon shark Sasori = scorpion Itachi = weasle...not so scary =/ Orochi = the japanese equivalent of Hydra

Im very curious about Zetsu. He wasn't very important in Naruto (sad, lol). He's half plant and has a half side, each side having a personality of its own. I know that he can hide in the ground and control plants underground.

True. He is detto to be Obito, merged with the guy that could turn invisible (they fought him before he died) but I think thats silly. The only think that really ties those two together to Zetsu if\s that the guy Obito, Kakashi Hatake and the others fought would say "Zu Zu zu" when he appeared from the ground. One half of Zetsu says that when he appears out of the ground at times...
