Why do te think Runt appears white while Princess is carrying him?

In my opinion I think Princess may have Lost her own pup in the past and Runt's presence is reminding her about it. Which could be why she becomes attached to him throughout the movie. This may be foreshadowing something in the upcoming sequels when they expand on her character more. What do te think, just a rendering glitch o something more?

That sounds like an interesting take on Princess's character. I could see that working into a fan-fiction if not explained in future films.
