Chapter 1: link

Begin:

"Pinned ya!"

"Dang it!" Seth yelled from outside. Dawn was ontop of him, holding him down after he tried a surprise attack on her.

"That's three outta five." Dawn said, getting off of him.

Inside the den, Garth had just turned around to face the group. Kate and Humphrey were wondering why he had detto you're welcome to Lilly. Garth, knowing what they were thinking, moved out of the way to let them see Lilly. She was sitting there, her tail wrapping around the front of her around her legs. The red and white fiore sitting behind her left ear, keeping the pelliccia back. Kate's eyes immediately went to the fiore in her sister's hair, and wondered why it was there. It took her a minute, but then she noticed, Lilly's hair wasn't falling infront of her eye. Kate smiled, walking to Garth. She whispered to him, "Flower is keeping her pelliccia back, isn't it?"

"Yep."

"Why'd te choose red and white?"

Garth just looked at her, thinking, You're really asking that?

She got the idea. "Oh, nice thinking."

"Thanks."

Dawn and Seth came into the den. She was laughing at him for not pinning her even once. He said, "You could've atleast let me pin te once."

"But then te wouldn't be as humiliated."

"That's the point."

Kate, Lilly, Garth, and Humphrey all yawned at the same time. Dawn said, "Whoa. I've never seen four Lupi yawn at once."

"What do te expect? We're tired." Humphrey said. He felt like he could talk to Dawn like she was his sister. She technically was.

Rose looked out of the cave, and said, "It is almost time to get to sleep. The sun is setting."

"Do te think we could stay here for the night?" Humphrey asked.

Jack said, "You're our son, Humphrey. te can all stay as long as te want."

He smiled, "Thanks."

His parents walked to the back of the tana, den and lied down to get to sleep. Dawn and Seth went to their back rooms and fell asleep, leaving the living room for Humphrey and his friends.

Humphrey woke up in the middle of the night, feeling a little cold. He looked to his right side to look at Kate, but she wasn't there. He looked to his left. Garth and Lilly were still here, sleeping. Humphrey got up and went to the back of the den, his parents were here. So were Dawn and his brother, Seth. He detto to himself, "Where is she?"

Kate was sitting on the cliff. She had been sitting there for about an ora now, looking up at the moon and the stars surrounding it. Just thinking. About life. About Humphrey. This spot just made her feel... comfortable. Lying under the stars and the moon, thinking about the future. She then thought back to everything that had happened in this last day. Humphrey got his head stuck in a tree. They all stood up to a hunter. Garth and Lilly saved a black lupo that turned out to be her friend from Alpha school. And Humphrey found his parents, along with a brother he didn't know he had. This was one busy giorno for them. Kate just wanted to lay there, and fall asleep.

Snap

Kate lifted her head and looked behind her to see what made the snapping noise. It sounded like somebody stepping on a twig. She called out, "Who's there?"

"Kate? Is that you?"

"Oh, Humphrey. I'm over here."

She put her head back down and Humphrey approached her. He asked, "What are te doing up here?"

"Just... thinking."

Humphrey laid down successivo to her, and asked, "Really? What are te thinking about?"

She looked at him, not sure if she should bring this up right now. He continued looking at her, waiting for an answer. She took a breath and took a chance, "Pups."
