Is fishing considered hunting?

I think it really depends. Yeah, I understand that one is killing the animal for food, but there is più abundance.
Unless te are fishing endangered pesce o pesce who's numbers have declined over time, it is not really a big issue.

I go fishing for sport myself,but we always let them go away unharmed.

fishing hurts the fish. what would te do if someone pushed a needle through your upper lip? i think that is torture for them too. firstly they have a hole on their upper mouth secondo of all they are beaten to death after they are taken out of the water and third of all they are killed. in my view it is.

If your fishing for the meat than yes and If your fishing for endangered pesce than double yes! If your just fishing for the fun of the sport and letting them go after than No. So It all depends...

Gosh. I don't know. Catch and release is totally fine. If your fishing for food, and there is enough fish, totally not. If your fishing for survival, nope. If your fishing for fun, and then killing them, absolutely not.

most people consider it different from meat but i say it is. thats why i never eat it

Its just like volpe hunting in many ways, people are deliberatly going out with the intention to lure an animal to its death!
Ripping it from its natural inviroment and then killing it all for the sake of human purposes, wether it be pleasure o food, its still wrong!!

i pesce a lot, but i always let the pesce go. ITs jsut a fun sport if te let the pesce go. When te dont and eat the pesce then i think that is considered hunting. I only did that once and it was there was a high population of this one pesce and it was wiping out all the others. so I hunted pesce for a good cause. Other than that i think fishing is just a fun sport if te know what to do.

Fishing is hunting, but hunting is necessary for survival in the natural world. Well, at least it used to be. At least when te hunt for food, te play the predator and the prey has a chance to escape, like the case with a lion and a gazelle. But locking animali like pigs, cows, chickens etc in a slaughter house and giving them no chance to escape while they are killed for food? That is pure murder. So is fishing/hunting for sport.

Though...I'm the kind of person who has to eat meat o my body might fail on me so it's sad that I still eat all that. I stay away from endangered meat though. I don't need to eat exotic stuff, I just need the meat. 0_0

fishing depends on what te are doing if te are there to catch and cook o catch and kill then yes because te are killing a animal, but catch and return is not because te are NOT killing the animal there for it depends on what te are there to do.
