Has anyone ever wondered about how closely related Rozen Maiden and Konjiki no Gash campana, bell are?

Rozen Maiden's about bambole trying to become (pretty much) the fairest of them all and Gash campana, bell is about little people named mamodos who try to become the King. Anyone else think they're similar?
