Have te ever realized "kawaii" means "cute"?

Pinkie Pie detto it in episode 7 of the Japanese version of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. When she detto it, the subtiles detto "Cute!" I know this has nothing to do with anime, but a lot of Anime fan relate kawaii with Anime for some reason. If te didn't, God bless Pinkie Pie!
