Frankly, just going to pick the icon with the least amount of votes from now on. Because I'm sick of icons that had no work done on them winning. I don't think anybody hardly works on their icons anymore.

The colors are very nice! And the perspective is cool too.

Pumpkinqueen: How can you assume that no one worked on their icon? Just by looking at it? Just because an icon doesn't look appealing to you, it doesn't mean that it's only "cropped and resized".

I'm going to have to agree with Candy here; it's a bit unfair to those who submitted icons to have their work judged so harshly by one who did not see the editing process. I'm pretty sure we're all mutually aware of the 'editing' portion of the contest, whether the work on it was revamping the entire color scheme, or simply making it brighter and raising it's contrast.
We all put some form of work into what we chose to submit, and pardon me for saying this, but I think to generalize that everyone who participates in this is without talent is a bit insensitive. There's no 'right or wrong' way to edit an image; everyone's creative taste is different

Frankly, it's pretty easy to tell nobody did anything to these icons here. Go search the official image, it looks just like it does in the icon. Frankly, reason I hate these types of contests and don't vote on them anymore, nobody cares to actually put any effort into it and it is all about eye candy. Yes, phew, bet it was so hard for you to crop and barely changing the lighting on that image there. It's like, someone can work their butt off on an cosplay, but the person who bought their cosplay gets all the attention.

Actually, looking through that whole forum, what the hell has anyone done? Every icon looks just like her official image.

Same goes for the other contests involving icons then. I mean people sometimes do edit the icon or they just keep it like it is. It's not that big of a deal.

Fair or unfair, I made this contest for fun. I do think that some people just judge it because of the eye candy, and some icons don't really have that much work done on them, but remember that it's all for fun. I'm trying my best to make it as fair as possible, and also by trying to set an example by voting for icons for which I think are really the prettiest and have the most work done on them, and by refraining from submitting icons without that much work done on them. I sincerely apologize if I have failed to make this contest a bit enjoyable and fair.

I'm going to state that due to my editing program not having many effects or any really spectacular ones, my icons tend to be quite simple and that is why I don't like seeing people vote for me ; heck, it was pretty sad that I won twice because of how much more well done everyone else's icons are. So, I can say that pretty much all I can do is crop, resize, and slight lighting ; some people like simple icons I guess. But I don't think it's nice to generally say that we all just cut and resized; some people actually put some good effort into theirs, at least in my opinion.

Edvygrl8: I'm sorry, but is it necessary for you to follow pumpkinqueen everywhere? It's great that you admire her, but you don't have to jump in every single conversation that involves her saying something bitter. You always only add to the harsh judgments. Excuse me for this but I see you've even adapted her vocabulary, using the word "frankly" many times.

Putting my pointless rambling aside, take a look at what Cerudays said, and at what kakukun said. They pretty much explained all that matters. The point of this contest is for fun, yet everyone still worked on their icon somehow. It may seem unfair if an icon wins when it doesn't look like it had much work done, but just because it looks plain to you, doesn't mean that the person didn't actually TRY. And maybe some people purposely put simple effects because they feel that it looks good that way. Their icons are all about their own taste. It's harsh to say that everyone (except for the one that you're biased towards) didn't even try.

Okay, even though I didn't vote (so Edvy and PQ can berate me on that) I have to say a couple of things on the matter:
1) You two really need to chill the fuck out already. I think I may have already said this before, but PQ, you seriously have a superiority and bratty complex and wow, it's really getting on people's nerves. You did this crud on here, Hetalia, Random, and probably on every other club you've joined/created. You have an opinion? Sometimes it's not asked for, but even if you feel the need to share it, you can go on in a subtle, suitable way, otherwise you are just going to be seen as that one user who makes everything less fun. And Edvy? You're just her copycat; I don't know what traits of PQ's you find so admirable that you wish to imitate wherever she is, but that's annoying as well. Both of you STOP.
2) If all of these icons posted on here are just edited, then there's really no sure way to even know which ones PQ feels are "terrible" or lacked "effort"; these are just edited images of the original works. Some may be "pretty" and some may not be, but when it comes down to it, they are just edited versions of the real work artists somewhere had put a lot of effort, time, and energy into, and not to sound mean, but this poll seems to be a sort of slap to their face, which becomes even more rude if the original work wasn't credited.

There has been many contests like this. They also use screenshots from the anime itself as an icon. Is that stealing too? It's a contest for fun and only for fun. Nobody was trying to steal or hurt the original creator of the pictures.
