Aretemis Fowl

Elena walked into the cucina and froze in her tracks. It was a mess! Dishes were piled high in the sink and there was grim covering the floor, which was buried under a foot of trash.

“Might as well get to work,” Elena said. She pulled a Persian blue ribbon from around her neck and tied her hair back. She grabbed all the cucina cleaning supplies from the closet and got to work.

First, Elena loaded all of the dishes into the dishwasher and started it. It will be done da the time I finish everything else, she thought.

It took twenty minuti to bag up the trash and take it outside. Elena discovered...

Elena stared wide-eyed at the giant living room. The dark haired boy draped a blanket over her shoulders.

“Thank you,” she whispered.

Another man and a woman entered the room. They were much older and she guessed them to be the boy’s parents. The giant man followed behind them. They sat down on the divano opposite of Elena. The giant stood behind them. The boy returned from the cucina and handed Elena a cup of hot chocolate.

“Thank you,” she whispered again. The boy walked over and sat successivo to the adults. Elena could see similarities in their faces and guessed that they were related....
