This is my opinon on the movie. Includes spoilers!

Plotline
I knew before I have watched the movie, that most of subplots will be left out, since putting 20 episodes in 103 minuti is not easy.
But the lack of details was still disappointing. (Especialy the part when Sokka, Katara and Aang come to Northern Water Tribe and Katara is not allowed to train waterbending with Aang and is instead forced to learn healing, which is important later on.)

Characters and their roles
I like how they catched the contradiction between Sokka (skeptic, pessimist) and Katara (optimist, always ready to belive).
Aang, unlike in the series, was not funny at all. But I get it. This is a movie, and the main character cannot be also the comic relief character. He also didn`t seem to have a crush on Katara, but that is actually good, since it removes the whole "love at first sight" cliché.
The thing I REALLY disliked however, was the fact that he was the only one to ever do anything. He never seems to need Sokka's and Katara's help and is almost the only one ever fighting the bad guys. Katara and Sokka were just running around and fallowing Aang. The exact opposite of series.

Actors
Dev Patel did (after expetacion) a great job at being Zuko. The other actors seemed ok as well (or at least didn't miss the whole point of their characters), so this part is fine for me. Some people really mind the hair colours and clothing, but I find this part satisfying as well.

As whole, the film, like many other Film based on books/comics/series, didn't quite manage to catch "the feel" the original version had and that attracted fans. Don't be disappointed though. te still have the awsome series to love.
