Psycho Sight (An Azula fic)

It was a soothing sound. The water lapping against the stones.

Azula picked at a loaf of bread—contrary to popolare belief, she’d stopped chucking whole loaves of pane at the tartaruga ducks when she was about ten. She flicked a chink into the water and watched as the turtleducks flocked to it.

6:00 was always Azul’s preferito time of day. She found a sort of secret enjoyment in watching the giorno close. The colori were always so warm and vibrant.

She let herself fall back into the grass, dark hair fanning out around her. It wasn’t too hot nor too cold. A sunset in July, at least around these...

As he bitterly thumped his fist on his head.
Momo did not reply
But gazed hypnotically, wide-eyed at the boy….

“What would Katara say?” he mused;
“ ‘Don’t beat yourself up, Sweetie, you’re only confused’ ?“
“What would Sokka, her brother, advise?
‘Well, since I’m much smarter, you’re so right to surmise!’ ?
What would Toph say?” he thought of her too….
“ ‘Why beat yourself up before I’m through with you?’ ?
And I suppose Zuko would simply yell:

Aang and Katara narrowly escaped the prison cell. Aang leaned on his staff and held Katara's hand. Katara led him out of the prison, just as Zuko ran out.
"You found him!" Sokka said. "Great to have te back, Aang." He smiled at his friend. It soon faded. "Whoa...what did Azula do to you?"
Aang looked to the ground. "I--I don't want to talk about it."
Katara gently put a hand on his forehead. "Oh, Aang...you've got a fever."
Aang sneezed. "I know," he moaned. His moans turned into sobs.
