Cheetahs. The fastest land animali on the planet. And, the way I see it, the coolest big cats. They can go from 0 to 60 in seconds, with a high speed of 75mph. The stripes on their faces? To block the sun's glare. That's where it came from for football players! Cheetah claws, unlike other feline claws, are semi-retractable. This gives them traction as they run. They can also steer with their tails! They flip their tails back and forth to change direction. The reason cheetahs can’t roar is because of a difference in a piece of anatomy in the throat called the hyoid bone. This sharp vocal fold in their larynx means they cannot roar, but they can chirp. Chirping allows for più variety anyway.
