“Jacob!” I was yelling from the bath room. I was in più pain than I ever thought was possible. It felt like something was clawing its way out of my stomach. This couldn’t be possible I’d been pregnant for only a couple of months. “JACOB BLACK GET te culo UP HERE!” I was screaming so loud I thought Jacob would go def. He ran into the bath room and kneeled down beside me. “What’s wrong?” “I need to get to grandpa.” He picked me up and drove me to the house and carried me in.

“What’s wrong with her?” My mother came rushing to my side. “Mom stop just get grandpa.”...

Ever randomly burst into tears and not know why? Nothing sad has happened in the last 30 seconds! You're not even thinking about sad stuff! What is wrong with you?!

This has happened to me quite a few times lately. Most notably, while revisiting some preferito Film from my childhood. I pulled 'em out of the shed, dusted of the thin cardboard and clamshell VHS cases, and tried to remember how to work a VCR. (Stop picturing me in a rocking chair wearing a cardigan. And get off my lawn.) During several of these Film that I watched hundreds of times in the early '90s, something strange happened....

Preface

“Okay honey, it’s your first time on a plane!” my mother cooed me. I was five then so I didn’t hate it entirely. “I’m ready Mommy!” I said. We sat in section… 1A and 1B.
My mother was overly excited for the both of us because it was also her first time on a plane.
After takeoff, my mother spotted San Diego, which was the wrong direction. We were going to visit my grandparents in Michigan. It felt like the plane was dropping all of a sudden.
“Mommy, are we going to land now?” I asked. “I’m going to go talk to the pilot honey. I’ll be right back.” My mother...

We hear a lot about sexism against females, and some people think this extends to books, which it probably does. A lot of libri have no females in them, o only have weak female characters, like damsels in distress which are just there to be saved da males. But recently, there has been a lot of strong, resourceful new female book characters. Here are my favourite strong heroines- and two of them are from libri written da male authors, so well done men for realising that females can be string too.

1) Kestrel Hath, from The Wind on fuoco series da William Nicholson.
Most of te probably haven't...

"War is not women's history," Virginia Woolf observed. But when confronted with it, members of that sex have summoned levels of courage and resourcefulness to rival those of any military commander. In A Train In Winter, Caroline Moorehead focuses on a group of women worthy of particular awe, both for the bravery they demonstrated and the brutality they endured.
The titolo refers to a vehicle that in January 1943 transported 230 women — all members of the French Resistance battling the German occupation of their country — to Nazi death camps. They ranged in age from 15 to 68, in occupation...

Only Griffin King sees the magical darkness inside her that says she’s special, says she’s one of them. The orphaned duke takes her in from the gaslit streets against the wishes of his band of misfits: Emily, who has her own special abilities and an unrequited Amore for Sam, who is part robot; and...

1. Harry Potter da J.K. Rowling

Like, duh.

In my opinion, it's both the best YA series ever and the best fantasy series ever. Why? Harry Potter is the best of everything - the best characters, the best plots, the best writing.

The characters are people te can fall in Amore with, and not just the main Heroes and the main villains. Even più minor characters are pretty extensively developed, like Snape, Pettigrew, Neville, even Dean o Seamus. They all have histories and quirks and unique personalities and very few authors are able to so vividly create such a huge cast of characters.

Similarly, the...

Vampires – just because some of them sparkle doesn’t mean there’re all bad.

The Classical Vampire
The first vampire to appear in fictional literature was created da the British autore John William Polidori in his book ‘The Vampyre’. After this came the rather long short story ‘Carmilla’ da Sheridan Le Fanu. But it was a work inspired da these two stories that remains the greatest vampire story to this giorno – Bram Stoker’s ’Dracula’. ’Dracula’, which was published in 1897, started a Vampire craze the hasn’t ceased yet. It is in this novel that we find the original,...

Mmkay, this is a really powerful-but really long- quote and I really hope te take just a few minuti out of whatever you're doing and read it.

"I was telling te about evil, now that I know what it is. It's what makes a man get drunk and press a red hot poker on his child's back. It's what makes men have to queue for hours at the dock gates for a chance of a job when there are only a dozen jobs for a hundred men, so they fight each other in order to get them, and the foreman laugh and egg them on. It's what takes an old couple who've got nothing left but each other and splits them up to go...

If te enjoy vampires, angels, unique story lines and lots of action then this book is for you. I have just read the first book on the Guild Hunter series da Nalini Singh – Angel’s Blood (Guild Hunter, Book 1). This book is a good debut to this series and I found it very different from Ms. Singh’s Psy-Changeling series.
A quick synopsis, Elena Deveraux, she’s a born vampire hunter; her best friend is Sara and she has a few childhood issues. She is a no nonsense type, feminine but tough as nails. She’s summoned da the archangel Raphael, he’s a high and mighty Angel and ruler, he’s...

FIRST part of the book series The children of the earth.

This novel of awesome beauty and power is a moving saga about people, relationships, and the boundaries of love.

Through Jean M. Auel’s magnificent storytelling we are taken back to the dawn of modern humans, and with a girl named Ayla we are swept up in the harsh and beautiful Ice Age world they shared with the ones who called themselves The Clan of the Cave Bear.

Besides the book there was a movie in the 80's starring Daryl Hanna (Kill bill).

Totally Amazing!! Every Woman Should read it!!

I love this book cover.
Hi everyone, I had finally read Paulo Cuelho's bestselling novel, The Alchemist and here is my review on the popolare novel.

The Story

While Leggere the novel, I did not quite understand the story and it was not until the secondo half of the story that I managed to understand. It telling us to follow our dreams if a person desires for it!

The Characters

Santiago (or the Boy in this story) is a very likable character because he manage to understand what the Alchemist is telling despite being relatively young, he is my favourite character out of the novel!
The other characters like the Englishman and just to name a few are very ambiguous, if te ask me.

Is It Worth Reading?

Yes, I highly recommend this book for those who have not read it yet!
