Cristianesimo Domanda

New at this...

So, I'm new at Christianity. I'm in it on my own, and I don't have many people to talk to about it. I was wondering, I've heard that God is a forgiving one. But then, he does not like it when we sin. If he forgives us, then is there really such a thing as sinning?

Cinders said:
When te were a child, and te did something your mother told te was wrong (say, snuck downstairs and ate all the biscotti, cookie before dinner), what did she do? She didn't throw te out of the house and never speak to te again. She might have scolded you, but she always loves you, and she forgave te eventually. Does that mean eating all the biscotti, cookie wasn't wrong? Of course not. All it means is your mother loves te unconditionally.

And so does God.

Magica said:
God doesn't like it when we sin, but forgiveness of sins is why He sent Gesù to earth. We're all sinners, and we can't always help it, but if we ask forgiveness and are truly sorry, He forgives us.
