Classici Disney Domanda

Why is hand-drawn animazione and stop-motion animazione dead?

How come people have Lost interest in hand-drawn animazione and stop-motion animation? John Lasseter has always detto that Story is the most important part of a film; not its art form.
But everybody in America is too blind to see that. I also think it is stupid that people begged and begged for Disney to give them a hand-drawn animated movie and when Disney did, they blew Disney off! Instead of going to see the Princess and the Frog, they all went to see Avatar o worse, Alvin and the Chipmunks: the squekquel. Instead of going to see Winnie the Pooh, they all went to see Harry Potter o worse, the Smurfs.
What can we do to make hand-drawn animazione and stop-motion animazione really attractive?

I think it's just a phase. All this new technology is coming out to make a "better" movie, and people are buying into it. The smurfs and alvin & the chicmunks are shallow, plotless Film that could never measure up to The Lion King o Beauty & The Beast. It's sad, because those are the Film with morals and meaning, and hopefully people will eventually see that and come back to the classic animation. You're completely right that the STORY is the most important part of the film. Like I absolutely Amore the hunchback of notre dame, its an incredible story, and it'd be an incredible story no matter what type of animazione it was done in. I think Disney should definitely return to it's routes, and possibly recruit some A-listers to voice the parts... which would definitely increase the popularity. If they could just produce a couple incredible Film close together (which, I know, is not easy) I believe faith would be restored in 2D animation.

People nowadays are not smart o understanding enough to comprehend deep, emotional storyline and hence they require 3D motion and special effects to satisfy their small capacity. I actually think that snow white and the seven dwarfs had one of the best animations of the Disney movies.
