1)Before te start, te need a storyline
Scrivere a story requires planning. Think of a general storyline. The worst thing te can do is start Scrivere and go with the flow. ‘Cause te don’t know where you’ll end up. Most importantly, before te begin, te need to know how te want the story to end. Think of più than one storyline and let them flow together. If you’re a good writer, that shouldn’t be a problem.
2)Official characters/Own character
Obviously the main characters of your story are going to be Damon and Elena. But te should spend some time to the other characters as well. If te can’t make certain characters likeable, then te should try to make them interesting, but don’t pretend they don’t exist. They could be very useful for your story. te can also add your own characters, but only if you’re certain they will serve the story. Otherwise they’re just a waste of page space.
3)Set a for your story
Decide how many chapters te want to spend. For example: all my fan fictions contain 22 chapters and I manage to get the story told in those 22 chapters.
Everything te didn’t get to tell in your first story, te can write in a sequel. I’m Scrivere my secondo DE story and I’m planning on at least two more.
4)Don’t ask people what they want in the story
te need to ask yourself a question: do te want to write a good story o do te want to please the fans? If you’re a true DE fan, then what te want is bound to be similar to what the fan want. Besides, readers aren’t writers. You’re in control of the story, te call the shots.
5)Defining scenes
You’re Scrivere DE, so te should add some of the scenes that define them, such as cucina scenes, bedroom scenes, collana scenes, road trips, …
6)Don’t rush the story
Again, you’re Scrivere DE, so take it slow. If you’re going to have them jump each other’s Bones in the first chapter it’s way too fast and they’re not any different then SE. One of the greatest things about DE is their journey.
7)Don’t be afraid to ask help
Like I detto before, you’re in control of the story. But that doesn’t mean te can’t ask people for help. Just make sure te ask it of people who know what they’re doing.
8)Write real scenes
Some people simply write that they saw on the show, as if their Scrivere the mostra in a book. That's not writing, that's describing the scenes that were written da someone else. It's cheap and everyone can do it.
9)Be bold
te have an awesome idea, but you're afraid of people's reactions? Don't be. Just go for it. And if they don't like it, sucks for them.
Any più tips? Say it in the commenti and I’ll add them to the list. Credits will be given.
