The CW on Thursday aired its first teaser for the Oct. 2 premiere, which finds 

brothers urging the broken-hearted doppelganger to pick herself back up and get on with her life.

“Damon’s gone,” Stefan tells her. “You need to say goodbye, too.” But judging by the fact that Elena is still smelling Damon’s clothes and nomming on innocents, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon. (And is that Luke that Elena is thrusting up against a wall?)

The teaser ends with (a ghostly) Damon and Elena, back at the scene of the Season 5 finale, as he echoes his brother’s sentiments: “Move on.”

LMAO so true, and again we have to watch a delena season this year again. I heard that one of the main three didn’t signed on for a season 7 yet. If paul is smart than he is the one who stops, his character stefan is only there to give damon and elena relationship advice (i thought it was a love triangle) but if stelena isn’t coming back together this season now that damon is out of the picture, than we all know that delena will be the endgame, no hope for stelena. Another year full of delena’s toxic relationship, think i’m going to stop watching if that happens.

I think alaric is why I’ll be tuning in. He’ll bring some much needed fresh life to this once incredible show. Still hoping for Stelena by the end of series. Dreading Steroline, does she really have to sleep with everyone?

Apparently, Stefan makes a cameo this season and after that it is all Delena all the time. I am sure the ratings will soar with another season focusing on the golden couples undying love for each other. TVD doesn’t need anyone else the Delena. *sigh*

I can’t believe that, instead of promoting something that used to be this show’s biggest draw (compelling storylines! quick pacing! strong characters!), they’re stuck on ‘ships. Unless they have nothing else to offer, which honestly wouldn’t surprised me after the last two seasons. In that case, the cancellation bear is patiently waiting.

“The love of her life” LOL Seasons 1-3 that was Stefan and within a 24 hour period she decided Damon was the love of her life. Elena will most definitely move on and find another LOHL very soon because that is what she does… my bet is on Alaric.

Holy Hell, I am out of here.. If they are relying on twitter fans for their ratings they are going down a rabbit hole, it didn’t help them when they were trending number 1. Last years ratings were awful and I fear if they keep up this awful Delena mess she won’t have to worry about who is coming back for season 7.

What’s with all the Delena hate on here? I for one love the couple and am hoping to see more of them in season 6. Which is not to say I’m not hoping for some quality action and suspense.

I will never get over how Elena after just 24 hours after breaking up with Stefan sleeps with Damon who does that. After this promo I will stick to what I did last season stick to Youtube clips

Sorry, can’t agree with you there. Not only do I find the couple exciting, but I think they’ve changed each other for better. I never used to like Elena before season 5. She used to be so judgmental and plain boring. The repetitive part – true, there was too much poorly executed angst in season 5, but then again, there had been so much needless angst between Elena and Stefan in seasons 1-2, not to mention Caroline and Tyler. That’s just the nature of the show.

Wow Stefan, already giving up on your brother when he died only trying to bring you back !! Hope this season is all about Delena again, I’m so looking forward to seeing Elena try to move heaven and earth to bring Damon back and hopefully Stefan will have the decency to stay away from the woman who rejected him not just once but countless times. Stelena is dead and buried and it should stay that way

I always wonder why Stelena fans still hope for this ship when Elena has rejected him alot of times and kissed Damon beofre she was even a vampire. If she went back to Stefan would that not be making stefan her door mat.

Actually I don’t know think there is many Stelena’s any more. We would rather not see him with the soul sucking Elena. Just because we don’t like Delena means we are hoping for a reunion with Stefan. I didn’t say there were none, I said that I didn’t think there were as many anymore. I am team Stefan and from a lot of the comments here and other sites that seems to be the trend. Of course there is Stelana’s and more power to you, I just think Stefan is too good for Elena.

that is so wrong to say that. Stefan is the only guy in this entire show that has gone true hell for his brother. So let him move on and have his own life. he deserves it after 5 seasons of pain. And we all know that he loves damon more than everything even more than Elena, he proved it over and over again. And he also has the decency to stay away from elena, he already proved that too in season 5, unlike his brother;). so don’t worry about stelena, it will still be the delena diaries till the end… sadly.

Ah yes now that will make a great show 21 episodes of Elena sobbing for Damon and Damon telling her to move on. Can Not Wait!!! It will be sooo epic. Season 3 was basically 22 episodes of Elena sobbing for Stefan, so what’s your point? Beyond apparent Delena hate ;)

I’ve always thought Stelena was true love, and still my favourite was Damon. Now I hate Damon with or without Elena, Delena seriously murdered his character. Now even his jokes are only about sexing Elena. And for myself, I think I’m a Stelena fan because I loved watching them and I still miss their cuteness. That was a healthy relationship I would want for myself. But I don’t think they can be fixed anymore that Elena is such a bitch. I just hope for a happy ending for Stefan.

I can’t deal with this anymore. I’m not a shipper and last season was already painful enough. I’ll stick to The Originals. TVD, you and I need a break… Call me when you grow up.

Wow this is awful… Glad I stopped watching last year. Katherine was the last cool thing on TVD andI just hate Dullena. At least The Originals is still cool. It’s more than fan servive and soap opera.

Hope this new season has more intriguing storylines, Season 5 was unbearable, the only good thing about s5 was DELENA of course but even Delena with their on and off drama it got tiring.

I dont understand why people are saying its the Delena show etc, was it not full on STelena romance soap in S1 & 2..the premise has not changed, what has changed is the characters of the main couple, Delena instead of Stelena.

I don’t agree with you. Yeah, the first 3 seasons had Stelena, but Damon was pretty much involved in the game, but even more important is that every other main character had important storylines, they were likeable and had character growth. And aside from the shipping drama there were cool storylines and mythology. Now the main storyline is Delena getting together-breaking up again and again, while no other character (including Stefan) is important anymore. And I think that most of them are not even likeable now. For those who are not keen on Delena there’s really not much to look for. As I said previously, I’m glad I stopped watching some episodes before the end, but it’s still said to see and read the terrible direction.

See I completely disagree. I think the premise HAS changed. Elena and Stefan were the main couple as far as the romance goes in seasons 1 and 2… But it was never just about that. Elena actually had a life outside of Stefan. She cared about her friends and her brother… now literally all she cares about is Damon. Its not fun to watch an obsessive co-dependent relationship. Not to mention the fact that the other characters actually had storylines of their own. Now every character on the show is just a pawn in the Damon and Elena angst. Its a shame that the show has changed so much.

Someone please please cancel this crap fest. The only reason it has lasted so long is because, 1. It is on the CW and 2. It’s a tween fest. It certainly isn’t for the ridiculous, emotionless, can’t act their way out of hell cast.

It really used to be a good show. I remember watching season 1 while I was living in Switzerland. I still watch, but it lacks the edge it used to have. At least Alaric is back

Ugh! I can’t stand the Damon and Elena pairing or any scenes that they have together period. We have had to deal with this for FIVE YEARS (well you all did, I stopped watching after 3). Let’s ALL move on. I am ready for Bamon love and endgame! We have waited long enough.

Or they post the same thing over and over again to make the Delena seem more popular than they really are. Sometimes they change their names: heres to you meg and mamdee, but it basically all the same stuff. Damon is the only character that matters, Delena is epic, they are soulmates etc. etc. Too bad their obsession with the golden couple would help the ratings.

Actually, whether you like Delena or not, Damon is – or at least used to be – one of the main draws in the series. He had the absolutely best one liners and especially around his interactions with Stefan I often had to pause the video to laugh out loud. Unfortunately, in later season he lost his edge, and after the removal of Klaus there just hasn’t been enough badassness on the show. Silas was fun, but not enough. And Katherine dead? Bad move. The need a new endearing villain.

I’m still wondering what if Damon (who’s the BROTHER of Stefan) never had the idea to date his BROTHER’s ex ?!
