why are "waffles" a dair reference?

waffling is like a 'code word' for sex
we (the dair fandom on tumblr) kinda made it up after the first sneak peek for 5x17 came out with Blair telling Dan she might have found a loophole in her prenup and that the Humphrey-brunch will have to wait. then she says 'raincheck on that waffle?' and the looks they give each other are pretty .. longing.

Yes, it's a code for they doing IT, I think it's started when we saw sneak peak from season 5 eps 17, remember when blair speak on the phone with her lawyer about her annulment, dan come and ask her to go to brunch with him, blair detto she can't and "rain check on that waffle", after that they give each other that amazing eye "waffle", and our imaginary gone wild LOL
