Praesse It's a kind of good point, although I'm pro-choice. But it has a weak point and that is that... Actually, seals & whales should be safe because they're in danger, when humans are definitly not in danger of extinction, so that's why we should save the babies of those animals. Also, these animal babies are not aborted or "killed" by their own mother, they're killed by people, therefore, it's not possible to compare these two cases, because no one is killing the human baby, the mother is just deciding not to have them. There're LOTS of good points in the pro-life/pro-choice argument, but this one is only okay for a joke, or something like this :P

SG1-090 You can't kill what was never alive. Abortion is fine and i think we should be more focused on children who have been born who are alive and who starve to death because they live in poor conditions or are killed by abusive parents - rather than demonizing women who choose NOT to have a child who was never alive in the first place.

MajorDork74 How do you know we're not in danger of extinction? As humans, we are obnoxiously arrogant and we will someday cause our own destruction! Some of us are highly intelligent enough to do something stupid and not even realize it.........like making some kind of over-sized atom smasher (and yes one does exist) that is powerful enough to destroy some of the continents on our planet. Buuuuuuuuut, I guess it depends on what point of view you wish to adopt.

amazondebs well majordork i think that's a very pessimistic view while i agree all humans are stupid and we could most likly kill ourselves as the earth stands at the moment we are greatly over populated

Sappp I'll answer that question too if you don't mind :) It depends on what you call life. I call life brainfunction. Example: If I would be on life-support because I'm braindeath I would want to be euthanized: because I do not think I am living. My body will still be there, functioning in some way, but I will not be alive. If a fetus has no brainfuntion I do not think it is alive.
