Let kids be kids! They aren't thinking about race; they see this cool character and they want to be like them for a night.

Come on. Characters shouldn't be restricted to just one race. It just causes segregation.

@disnerdtobe: Sorry, but I think you are misunderstanding my point. I don't say that DarkSarcasm is racist. What I mean with the term of 'racist' is referred to peoples that don't allow kids for wear any character costume that are not from their race.

I've seen people say that they wouldn't give candy to kids who did this. Like wow be an adult, take your head out of your ass, and stop trying to make little kids cry. Especially kids who are too young to understand what they did 'wrong'.

Seeing all of these articles made me realize that most people actually don't understand and know the actual meaning of the word "racism".....

Racism: To treat someone differently because of the color of their skins.

So now that this is out of the way, let's look at this situation more in depth, shall we? If you're dressing up as Moana, it's because you like her, you admire her, you love her, you look up to her. It means you're treating her as equally as all of your other favorite characters = Not Being Racist.

Refusing that people dress up as Moana BECAUSE of their skin colors = RACISM! WTF? It's not that complicated!!!

I can't even understand their point in those articles, it doesn't even make sense! I don't even think they realize they are the ones being racists by writing that bullshit. So to them, if you're not a Caucasian girl, you cannot dress up as Elsa either, or like her or look up to her. Tell that to all the none-Caucasian little girls over the world. See how they feel about you deciding who they should look up to.

If you look up to Moana, no matter what race you are, you are fucking allowed!! No one can tell you otherwise! Can we not mess up our children and fill their brains with this crap! Let kids be kids and love and admire whoever the fuck they want!

I'm sorry about this little rant. I needed to get this out of my chest lol. It frustrates me to read this bullshit.

At last Halloween's trunk or treat I saw SO many little Disney Princesses. Black Anna and Elsa twins, a white Moana, two Snow Whites, biracial Jasmine. They just wanted to have fun and get candy and look and feel as special as a princess. It's one thing to, like, disrespect Native headdresses or something as a joke. It's another to wear Pocahontas' buckskin dress when you don't share her race.

I wore Miles Morales's Spider-Man costume for Halloween, and he's Black/Latino mix. It's literally just a costume, it doesn't hurt anyone seeing me in it. If people have an issue with it, then that's on them. They need to be concerned with more important shit.
