Well, according to my own preferences Mulan is the complete arrangement of relatable and admirable. She's always dutiful, she always tries to please her parents and her society. She often fails at it, but she tries her best. When she loses hope in pleasing her family, she figures she would rather sacrifice herself for her father then see him die doing what she's told. She even does such, to change her society. She takes a risk to have some value to her, which is achieving her own goals as well as helping the people she holds dear. She's clumsy, she messes up and makes bad decisions, but ultimately she does it for values she knows are important. She helps others even when she doesn't need to and wouldn't dare breath a word of negativity about anyone besides herself. A selfless and noble princess, that proves her worth da giving it her all and never giving up.

Mulan shows independence, maturity, bravery, everything some of the other princesses seem to be lacking. She is an amazing role model for young girls, da her being the heroine, saving a whole country and the person she loves, yet putting her family before love, and making her man come to her rather than the other way around. She risks her life for her family, she was never in danger in the first place-- not directly at least, yet she goes to war instead of her father to fight, putting herself in danger. She shows intelligence and strong characteristics. The best princess shouldn't be judged on beauty o Canto voice, but how much of a role model they are, and mostra the young girls of today that it's good to be independent, instead of waiting around for true Amore and wanting to be beautiful.

She stays in the army even when Shang sends her home because it's too hard for her, and then goes to warn Shang and the Emperor that the Mongols survived even when Shang nearly beheaded and shamed her when he found out she was a woman. Besides being selfless and loving, she's clearly intelligent, as seen da how she comes up with the avalanche plan. Though she falls in Amore with Shang, she doesn't let that stop her/consume her. Getting the man was an added bonus, not her main goal. She's proactive in a way that no other Disney princess.

Now about Mulan's character developement, it takes place and is complete in the length of a montage. Most people have a problem with that, but in general I think it mostra an accurate portrayal in how Mulan grows. She screws up a lot, then she has the final straw of determination and thinks on her own to do thing the smart way and not to just to rely on her strength, as realistically she has trouble competing with the men. So, it's not so much glossed over as it is shown straight forwardly. Mulan goes from being an awkward, lazy screw-up to something that she hopes both her and her family appreciate. She's relatable, and even if te do mess-up with courage and hard-work te can be great.

Overall, what makes Mulan so likable is that I-- even most people can relate to her. We've all been through that stage where we want to find ourselves and to impress our family. Mulan is outspoken, resourceful, witty, self-reliant. She's outcast, but It's not like she chooses to be, it's just that she does not fit into the typical Asian woman that her society wants her to be. Then when she dishonors her family, she disguises as a man to fight for her older and injured father in the war to find herself, and to reclaim her family honor. I'm pretty sure none of the other princess have enough bravery to face war, and she is probably the most feminist princess-- besides Merida. She did not need to depend on a man to save her, but at the same time, she does not rub feminism too much in your face, which te would get turned off by. I also like how she doesn't feel too sorry for herself and whines and moans when things don't go her way, o when she is sad. Because of her bravery, all of China, including the Emperor bows down to her, and receives one of the highest honors a person can get.

Now-a-days, saying te like Mulan is the most "mainstream" opinion and while I don't think that that's a bad thing, I think we should all know why she is-- o was so widely liked. Granted, everybody has their own opinion, but this is why I Amore Mulan, she's the complete package for me-- an "Honorable Outcast."

I tried not to be redundant, but that can't be helped da me. Anyway I hope te enjoyed reading! Feel free to tell me what te think in the comments.
