Not at all! He's very compassionate, has a sense of humor, is romantic, and heroic!

^Being perfect is considered bland. I think that's why some would say Eric is, he has so many qualities, he's really the perfect boyfriend to have.

^ I agree with everything you all said. Many people have called him bland, but he has a lot of personality. I think it is because you do not see a lot of him, and barely anything from his perspective, which really puts him at a disadvantage

From the little you see of him you learn quite a lot about his characteristics and interests which is rare for many side characters

Bland, no, but he isn't the most fleshed-out of characters, so I can get one-dimensional

^ He has personality, a lot more than his predecessors, but he is in the story to be a plot device as well, and we never see his emotions. I can go with one dimensional, but definitely not bland like his predecessors.
