Only because given the Disney Fandom's large fanbase for Elsa & Rapunzel, about two princesses who are quieter and then finally break out of their shell-- and their relatability, I could see them enjoying BATB the most with the Beast's dynamic personality change and Belle's "nerdiness" with her reading.

I don´t think BatB would do as good as most people think.. Maybe it´s because we have seen sooo many heroines like Belle in the meantime, in all media. Wouldn´t be anything special anymore.

I agree as Safira, though I still think Belle would be well-liked. But I don't think the movie would do as good, because most boys would think it was too much of a princess movie or something like that.

"Success" is relatively since I'm rather cynically convinced that all 2D animation is dead in the water right now.

I think Beauty and the Beast has the best fighting chance though. I think it's one of the closest examples we have to a "perfect movie," and right now anything less than perfection results in a critical and financial flop for 2D films.

I don't think today's world has a problem with Hand-Drawn animation...just because PatF didn't do THAT well, it still did pretty well, and it was more the fault of the advertising than the movie itself. I imagine if they included all the gimmicks in the ads from Renaissance movies, Mushu, Lefou, ect. than kids would want to see it regardless if it's Hand-Drawn or not. I mean almost all animated TV shows are Hand-Drawn, and no one has a problem with them. I honestly think if Frozen was Hand-Drawn it'd be just as successful..
