They shouldn't do it because they feel the need to have to, but I'd be totally fine if they decided that on their own. Right now, the world isn't ready :c
Why not? It wouldn't bother me at all. They should put their heart into it though not just for the sake of "Gay rights" it would be fine. Plus it's their decision.
I agree with @BelleRose829. It shouldn't just be a movie made for the sole sake of making a 'gay rights' movie. But, if there ever was a DP movie where the leading mains were gay, I would have no problem with it.
@fanwizpop: Inappropriate!? How is love inappropriate? I'm sorry, I am so angry right now. Gay people deserve respect just as much of the rest of us. I'm just tired of the ignorance.
Oh, and by the way, Walt's motto was "Keep moving forward." I think people should apply that to everything in their daily lives. Including issues like these. I'm sorry if I offend someone with these words, but it just upsets me to see comments like that. And to say we can "never" have one just angers me further.
@Frozenswift- What about them? Better have them learn what it is than completely shield them from it and pretend it doesn't exist, making them be scared of it because they don't know what it is.
I can't exactly disallow them to do anything, but I would wholeheartedly support it.
to Frozenswift/fanwizpop and others of similar mind:
It would teach children tolerance, show them that it doesn't matter whom you love, that no matter what, you can find love and people can accept you for who you are.
I don't see how this is problematic. Don't be homophobic. It's not like they would show anything inappropriate, unless for you guys/girls kissing chastely (like in the other Disney movies) is considered inappropriate. In which case you are a hypocrite and a homophobe.
If we were in the 50's this poll will be about letting Disney make a movie with black protagonist.
And 71% of you will say No and only 29% will say yes or maybe none of you will say yes and it will be 100% NO.
What i'm trying to say is that, things haven't change, humans always see as a treat things that're different, things that they're not usually adapted to see, people say that we gays're going to hell, something they use to say to black people, THAT'S JUST SO FREAKING STUPID, if Disney ever make a movie about gays which it never will, that doesn't mean that people will become gay specially kids, I feel like am in a world full with Stupid Humans Who Never Learn Shit About What THEY HAVE DONE OR LIFE.
