Jasmine seems to be somewhat immune to it but the other three, yeah, kinda. Especially Pocahontas

I do think that disney tends to lump its POCs into the "strong modern woman" category and this influences how people view them.

Sort of. It really irritates me when they're edited to look paler, etc.

I'm not really sure what you mean, but I do agree with UnholyNoise. the nonwhite girls (except Jasmine- she's a hit or miss with them- they either love her for being nonwhite and assertive or hate her for needing Aladdin to save her so much) are generally seen as strong, tough, capable, independent womyn who don't need a man and barring Belle, all the white girls are usually seen as weak milksops who get everything handed to them.

^Yeah, that's what I mean. There seems to be a growing stereotype that ethnic girl=strong and white girl=weak. I also think people are too busy seeing Tiana as the "Hard Working Independent Black Woman" they don't realize she's just as old fashioned and graceful as Cinderella and Snow White. They're too busy seeing Mulan as the "Badass Chinese Warrior" they don't realize she's just as quirky as Rapunzel and as obedient as Aurora. They're too busy seeing Pocahontas as the "Wise and Spiritual Native American" they don't realize she's just as adventurous and rebellious as Ariel. Maybe I should have worded the question better.
