cinderella 2015 has much more depth in the characters. it has given much attention to her character like why she never leaves her parents' house even though being ill-treated. at least she's had one meaningful interaction, even though small, with the prince before the ball. and last of all, she does acknowledge that she won't be treated that way anymore.

Though i'd have preferred if her gown was to stay that silvery moon light icy blue shade with hint of sparkle as was in original one.

I also prefer the 2015 version, but I do acknowledge that without the 1950 Cinderella we may not have any Disney films today as the 1950 Cinderella basically saved the studio.

The new one is pretty but soulless. I almost fell asleep during the ball scene.

^I found it overly optimistic, but I maybe wouldn't call it soulless. The moral was great and it added more depth to the fairytale.

Both were good.

I adore the new one. It's like Cinderella 2.0 The same message and lovable character, but with more depth and finesse.

The only Cinderella there is and has ever been! That's right the only one there has ever been!

By far! The characters are more in-depth and the prince actually has some personality. The mice are a minor role in the film and don't talk. The fairy godmother is far more memorable. The only thing I like less about it is the scene in Kit's "secret garden" with the swing. It just comes off as kind of awkward. Overall much better than the animated one though.

Well, this one is better to me objectively, but I really enjoy the animated movie. It's a tough choice.

i didn't like ella´s character,she is so winny and more like snow white or aurora than cinderella herself

I love both, but I prefer this one.

This one was much more emotional. It felt deep and real. The new one was good but I didn't like it nearly as much.

The movie or the characters? If we're talking about the characters, I love Cinderella and Ella equally. If we're talking about the movies, I love both. They're both in my top 10 favorite movies of all time.

The original is better.

The 2015 version is even better than the 1950 version, the latter focuses more the mice and NOT the title character, the 2015 version we get to see Cinderella more! Not to forget that Kit and Cinderella interact more than their animated counterpart.

Love both, but since the animated film is my first Disney movie I watch, I choose this one.

I really like Ella but she's just too... serene? Nothing really seems to even annoy her the slightest, much less anger her like the cartoon version. (And yet tv tropes lists Cinderella as a Purity Sue and deleted my edit of Ella as a PS on the remake's page... even though she literally never gets mad or shows any resentment, kind of making her one).
