A simplified Richard the Third or a Romeo and Juliet where they live happily ever after, no thank you.

PLUS, the lines. They would get changed so much to please modern audiences they would eventually lose the charm of Shakespeare's dialogue.

Eh I'm kind of in the middle on this one. First off, they already did it with The Lion King, and everyone loves that movie, but they don't really think Hamlet when they're watching it. On the one hand, yes, they absolutely would butcher the stories and the gorgeous language, but on the other hand it might be a nice way to introduce children to a more accessible form of Shakespeare which might get them interested in reading the actual plays.

I think it could work, but it'd be difficult. I guess I'm open to the idea.

I would love to welcome Romeo and Juliet into the Disney kingdom! They have perhaps my favorite love story of all time, and although their ending is tragic, at least they still have each other in death.

Only Romeo and Juliet is known in my country. Sort of Hamlet and Macbeth I think.
