I've seen more love for the renaissance era compared to the classic era so I want to say most, if not all the movies would be loved if they were released today

People find a way to find offense in everything nowadays. People would be calling Ariel anorexic, Beauty and the Beast romanticizing stockholm syndrome & abuse, and I think people would flip out at that scene between Jasmine and Jafar when she has to seduce him to distract him from Aladdin, seeing as she's like 16 yrs old

Changing my vote because you know what that's a good point. While I don't see as many comments about the stockholm syndrome anymore, the fact that the princesses are really thin and Jasmine having to seduce Jafar would get fans flipping out. There's even people who are mad that Tiana spent most of her movie as a frog and calling it racist, imagine them calling The Little Mermaid sexist because Ariel didn't speak for half her movie

Audiences today are brutal. They show no mercy.

1. I agree that the Jasmine and Jafar scene would be highly criticized seeing as it was cut from the live action remake.

2. Jasmine would also be criticized for how she is dressed since it is too revealing for a supposedly Islamic culture.

3. Also, the movie Pocahontas would likely start a boycott of Disney due to disrespecting history and Native Americans.

4. Ariel would be seen as a bad role model for girls for being perceived as only wanting to get married.

5. Ariel would also be criticized for how little clothing she wears as a mermaid for a cartoon movie for kids.

I'm sure there are other criticisms that people would have today for these movies, which is really sad. :(

I feel that Ariel would probably get the most criticism.

What everyone else said pretty much. Ariel, Jasmine and even sometimes Belle get criticism for silly reasons.
