I actually don't know. I should ask my nieces to make a list. One of them is 4 and the other is 8 so yeah.

My guess is that children might be intimidated by her due to her temper. Her merchandise is less than most of the princesses. When being put in a group, she may be considered as an extra due to not being the main character in her movie. That may also be the reason why Jasmine is liked less.

The children I know just fell less of a connection to Belle. My little cousin LOVES Jasmine- we had a really badly done Jasmine come to her birthday last year. All the other kids I know love her too.

I just don't think she is as popular as the others, and you never see a lot of Jasmine merchandise in stores (at least I don't anyways).

I rarely see Jasmine on her own on merchandise... she is usually with the other five "princessy" Classic/ Early Renaissance Princesses. Tiana is more often on her own on merchandise, but that's probably because her movie is new.

For reasons stated previously. She only seems to be popular with people aged 13+. Particularly adults either love her or hate her. My mum hates her, but me and my mum are very similar in tastes. ie, the exact opposite of everyone else. I seem to be the only person that thinks 3 quarter lengthers, knee length rainbow socks and Mickey Mouse converse look good.
Personally, I loved Jasmine when I was little. I had her Barbie. I only had Barbies of the ones I loved and Ariel because I loved mermaids. I wasn't all that keen on Ariel herself when I was younger, but you know.

I can't believe Snow White is getting so many votes. She was one of my favourites. I had her fancy dress outfit.

Wow, most little kids I know LOVE jasmine! I agree with firegirl1515 about Belle. They just can't relate to her!

I think the age group of fans for Belle is like 13 and up. Usually when I ask kids about Belle they don't know who she is, so I have to explain to them that she's the girl from BaTB. My friend's little sister's favorite is Belle, but she's the only kid I know who's actually loves her :P

@princesslullaby: Yeah. Most people even recognise her in her slave girl outfit (you don't realise how kinky that sounds until you say it out loud) because we were playing "Let's guess which Disney characters Michelle drew on her RE folder!" again and they were all like "LOL that's the one from Aladdin... Jasmine. I loved her when I was little!".

most children I know dont like Tiana, mostly becouse they didn't saw the movie, and some simply don't like her

now If I was choosing on which I liked least as a kid and most of the other kids I knew didn't like , hhmm If I remember correctly the least popular in that time and in my personal expirience it would be snow white I guess or cinderella

Well, when I was small, I don't think I liked Belle that much. And yeah, back then, I did think she was plain. Also because in her story, she was stuck in a castle. I thought that was boring. I liked Ariel and Jasmine better because they had a TV series and were always going on adventures.

Hmm, I guess because she just came out.

Anyway, I loved Belle as a kid. Yes, her and Aurora were my favorites. Snow White was my least favorite back then.

Not enough children to have the upper hand.
