I don't think Mulan herself is a very well-developed character, although I like what she stands for. It just doesn't stand out very well. Mulan is about a 7.

The movie was good. The songs have emotion (Reflection and I'll make a man out of you). As for the voices great choices.

I really like the songs "Reflection" and "I'll Make a Man out of You." I thought they have memorable melodies and well-written lyrics.
The only thing I would fix was the romance subplot between Mulan and Shang. I would explain a bit what was Shang thinking about Mulan before finding out her true gender. Did he thought she was a great soldier and when her gender was revealed, he suddenly started having romantic feelings for her? Or did he wonder why he was feeling romantic toward "Ping" while at the same time denying them until Mulan revealed her gender?

One of my favorite Disney movies so I rate it pretty high.

It has started to grow on me, but I still can't say it's a flawless movie. While it has my favorite Disney Villain and some great sidekicks and Mulan is a great character the main problem I have character wise is Shang. Other things that I'm not a big fan of are the animation and the songs
