	maryksand picked A lot of people don’t like Pocahontas II, but I feel the need to defend it: The thing is that I always liked Pocahontas' story in a whole and I think the sequel was a significant part of it. I liked seeing her journey in general and I think the sequel showed some truly important aspects of it and of her evolation as a person, her growth. While the first movie was mostly about her trying to find the balance between her attachement to her roots, her land and her newfound love/desire to understand a different culture and make them understand and respect he culture of her people, the second movie was about her actually taking an action in her own hands and travelling to the New World. Starting "a new life on her own" like she sang in her song. The original movie and the sequal always went like two halves of the same story in my head and I felt like the first movie was very unfinished as much as I loved it. Rapunzel obviously spent time with her family, we just didn't get to see much of her life after she reunited with her parents. She spent a lot of time with Flynn during the movie, but it doesn't mean she didn't spend time with her family after the reunion. Another thing is, I really wish we were shown more of it. posted più di un anno fa.
