I'm wondering more why you are so against Sleeping Beauty - you seem to be set on voting out every scene from it. That is a very emotional one, certainly more emotional as Aladdin doing what he should have done all along. The only emotion I feel there is "Yeah, finally!"

I see Sleeping Beauty scenes not real sad.

This one is not sad AT ALL!

It is sad a little, cause there's a part of you that says, "Oh no! they're gonna die..." But then you think "Wait, this is Disney! of coarse they're not gonna die" So it isn't that sad at all.

@PrincessLD But they are! If there is anything the classic Disney movie have down to a T, then how to make a scene really griping. I'm under the impression that people say "Well the scene with Snow White in the woods isn't emotional because it's so stupid" - but weather it's stupid or not, or if Snow White or Aurora wake up or not is not the point, the important question is how those scene are designed and delivered - and they all have a well-build climax, are exactly as elevated as possible without being over the top. It's not really about the theme of the scene, it's about the way it's created. Take Rays death for example - I wouldn't want to vote it out yet, but it's much less emotional than all the other death scenes, even less emotional than Tiana learning that she won't get the restaurant, because there is no proper built-up, nobody is really crying (and crying gets to me every time) and the music does next to nothing to stir the right emotions. It just doesn't work. The scene I chose from Aladdin is less emotional because of the theme, but also because it's so rushed. Before you have even time to really think of what the decision might mean for Aladdin and Jasmine, it's over allready. No time to get emotional involved. The scene of sleeping beauty you chose is the climax of the first act of the movie, and it's very, very well done - keep in mind, when you watch the movie the first time (and don't know the fairy tale), you can't know that the stranger was Prince Phillip, we only learn that tibid in the next scene.

It's not really sad, more suspenseful. Anyways, the whole thing lightens up when Flynn says his real name :) hehe.

Ray's death is way more sad then this scene and I can't even remember this scene at all. Anyways it's more suspensful then sad.

Its a really cool scene, I just wouldnt classify it as sad.

It's not that emotional, we know he's not dead

she could get out. and she proved in the 3rd movie that she can get back to her prince.

The only emotion I get from this scene is boredom.

I don't know why -- it just doesn't resonate with me like the other scenes. The scenes in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and POCAHONTAS, on the other hand -- beautiful. Pocahontas visiting John Smith for instance -- I think it was Smith trying to joke a bit about it, and reassure Pocahontas that everything would be fine that really...got to me. *Hugs them both*
