My favourite incarnation of Clara was in The Snowmen- she was brilliant! Funny, clever, feisty, quirky, kind, curious, strong headed, adventurous.. she was all sorts of good things. However, since her reappearance in the latter half of series 7, her presence on the show seems to have gone unnoticed on one too many occasions. This might not necessarily be down to the character, but more the writers. Even with this though, it feels like the only interesting element to her that the writers can think of is the mystery behind her deaths and re-births. Saying that though, she has proved to be a worthy companion at certain points, the highlight for her being The Rings of Akhaten, in which she shows her selflessness, kindness, caring nature and courage. With the approach of the 50th anniversary, it is expected that the main focus is on The Doctor, so i'm anticipating that her character will be built upon a lot more in series 8, after we've also got a firm grasp on her as a person and why she is the impossible girl. :D Xxx

I personally believe, with regards to all the traits a companion to my liking should possess (audacity, initiative, intelligence, wit, dexterity, agility...), that Clara, Rose and Sarah Jane are all on a par with each other, as the Doctor's most formidable companions. :)

My strong favourite is Rose but Clara is really awesome. I like her very much!

Don't get me wrong, I like Clara but...she hasn't had a lot of character development. Sure, she's intelligent, funny and kind but compared to other companions, I can't say she's my favourite. I feel as though she was mainly used as a plot thread throughout series 7, but hopefully she'll get more character development in Series 8 with Doctor no12. But I'd definetly rate her above characters like Rose, Mickey, Jackie, Adam and Craig (would you count him?). I wouldn't rate her above Martha, Jack, Rory and my favourite, Donna.

Not only is she the absolute worst companion ever, but she plays here character like she's on a Scooby Doo adventure. She repels me with her shallow, single-dimensional, soulless acting. I don't know how I can make it through the next season with her ruining every scene she's in with her glib, idiotic, inappropriate smirk. Clara is the single worst event in the history of reality. I pray each night the the writers find a way, quickly, to have her fall into some interdimensional vortex never to be seen, heard or spoken of again.
