Ego can have several meanings. It can mean "self". Having a massive ego is like being full of yourself. But, I made my screen name based from psychology (..I don't take psychology, but I just have a psychology book..). te can read it here:
link Chapter 10 in my book was talking about Sigmund Freud's theories and observations. Three characters that define a player (person):
Id: The sede, sedile of our impulses (our raw, primitive impulses that drive our needs for satisfaction).
Ego: Negotiates with the id, pleases the superego (its like our thoughts that goes for a più realistic approach, yet still has some satisfaction gained)
Superego: Keeps us on the straight and narrow (our final judgement and consciousness, likely goes for acceptance and conformity).
So, Ego means something that separates impulses and reality, our consciousness.
While you're probably thinking why I chose 'Ego' to go in front of mouse, I just thought it sounded cool XDD
