Emma Watson is just so cute. She's got that little face and that artfully messy hair, and she's wearing the sweetest white summer dress you've ever seen. But when she starts speaking over breakfast at the Carlyle hotel in New York City, it becomes very clear that our old friend Hermione is anything but childish. Watson is smart and funny and passionate about becoming an actress with a capital A. Her first starring role after Harry Potter, as a wild child in this month's teen drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower, was a conscious break from her wizard alter ego; at the same time, she's becoming...

I didn't know what to expect when I started this Book Club. To have 100k members in less than a mese is amazing and for this I am so grateful but even più amazing is the level at which I see these topics being engaged with and discussed and how generous people are being with their responses and insights into the material. This is what is meaningful to me. Then più recently to look on Instagram and literally see people from all over the world coming together to discuss these issues in groups, over Skype, in person, mothers and daughters, friends, selfies, pictures of Gatti and dogs...

Looks like Harry will always have Hermione's back.

Long after the beloved Harry Potter series ended, Daniel Radcliffe is speaking out in support of costar Emma Watson, and her HeforShe campaign to promote gender equality.

"I think it's fantastic that she's bringing attention to it and adding to the conversation," he tells Nylon for its November issue.

Watson's campaign asks men to throw their support behind gender equality, with the idea that equal rights for women cannot become a reality without advocates from both genders.

To Radcliffe, that's a no-brainer – because the 26-year-old says...

Emma Watson stars in The Bling Ring! Isn't she hot!
Emma Watson is the face that has launched at least a half-dozen magazine covers so far this summer tied to her racy new movie “The Bling Ring.” And, to think, Emma considered bagging recitazione after her 10-year run in the Harry Potter movies.
Watson’s string of covers, however, certifies her as an international superstar.
“The Bling Ring,” about a group of suburban Los Angeles high school kids who burglarized the homes of celebrities, is Watson’s sexiest role yet.

For the former squeaky clean “Harry Potter” star, the film is as much of a departure from her child recitazione career as “Spring Breakers” was for former Disney teen Queen Selena Gomez.

Last summer, over tè for two in a Londra hotel — because that, readers, is how we rock 'n' roll — we began a conversation about women and men, our differences and similarities, what unites us and what divides us. We talked about Friends and families, about situations at work and at home, and about how fevered and fraught the dibattito around gender equality has become.

It is, of course, one of the great conversations a woman and a man can have — well, OK, maybe not, but it beats the old do-you-come-here-often? routine — and we've been having it, in one form o another, since we were...

"I don't know who. Emma Watson?" he laughs.

"It would definitely be something I would have fun doing with some people who are incredibly talented and I liked."

"Dear Our Shared Shelf,

The U.N. agency promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women has appointed Academy Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway as a global goodwill ambassador.

UN Women Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka called Hathaway a longstanding supporter of women's and girls' rights and detto she will put the spotlight on women's work at home caring for their families as a key barrier to equality.

"The 'motherhood penalty' ... is a particularly insidious demonstration of gender inequality in the workplace," Mlambo-Ngucka detto Wednesday. "The appointment of Anne is timely because this anno UN Women is driving hard to foster più positive mindsets and practical arrangements around workplaces that build and support equality for women."

Hathaway called for stepped-up action, saying: "I feel honored and inspired da this opportunity to aid in advancing gender equality."

Emma's preface:

'I will preface this da saying - anything that makes navigating being a teenage girl even slightly easier is a godsend. This book is not for the faint-hearted (think lots of swearing, pictures of vaginas and "patriarchy busting"), but frankly I think that might be what we need - a book that unapologetically addresses what teenage girls are really dealing with. Don't understand what your teenage daughter is going through or, even if te do, how to help her tackle it? This is the book for te and for her. So necessary. SO timely. Thorough. Straightforward. Well researched....
