Duplicate immagini tend to really bother me in certain spots, and I’ve observed that I’m far from the only one. I know it’s difficult sometimes to know if an image has been uploaded into a spot o not when there are 999,483,937 uploads, especially when they’re lacking in the parola chiave department.

Google has this nice new feature called a Reverse Image Search. With a reverse image search, te are able to carica o link an image into the cerca bar and you’ll be dato a lista of web pages containing your selected image.

(I’m about to walk te through the steps. I’ll be using a picture from link)

* First, visit link. (tinyeye.com is also another reverse image cerca engine, but it doesn’t have fanpop in its database, so don’t bother.)
* Click on the camera icona located at the end of the cerca bar.

---A box will pop up. If te have the image saved to your computer, click on the “upload an image” link, and… carica the image. If it’s easier to get the image URL, get the url and paste it in the textbox.

*Click cerca and you’ll be taken to a lista of results, as Google usually does. In some cases, such as this one, Google will add a word to describe your image.
"Google will add a word to describe your image" (click to enlarge)
"Google will add a word to describe your image" (click to enlarge)

"Google will add a word to describe your image" (click to enlarge)
"Google will add a word to describe your image" (click to enlarge)

---In most cases, if the image is already uploaded onto Fanpop, it will be displayed as one of the superiore, in alto results
*If fanpop doesn’t come up as one of the results,
try erasing Google’s guess and type in “Fanpop”, then click cerca again.
*By this point, te should have your answer.
"By this point, te should have your answer" (Click to enlarge)

The superiore, in alto result will ALWAYS be:

Fanpop - fan club for everything. What are te a fan of?
www.fanpop.com/
Fanpop is a network of fan club for fan of television, movies, Musica and più to discuss and share photos, videos, news and opinions with fellow fans. 42 images...”

So ignore that.
What te need to look for is the results that follow. If te don't get any fanpop results, then you’re sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza to carica the image without committing the crime of duplication.

If te DO get a fanpop result, make sure te follow the link and actually check which spot it was uploaded to. (You wouldn’t want to miss out on your opportunity just because someone uploaded the same image to the random spot 2.5 years fa o because it’s the thumbnail of some video)

If te get più than one fanpop result, then that most likely means that the image has been uploaded to più than one spot, as demonstrated below.
"image has been uploaded to più than one spot" (Click to enlarge)
"image has been uploaded to più than one spot" (Click to enlarge)

o that the image appears on più than one url in one single spot, which is completely normal (the spot’s homepage, image page, wallpaper page, the page for the image itself, the related immagini thumbnail, a pick icon, etc.)

o that a duplicate was added at some point o another.

Here’s to hopes for less duplicate images.
Cheers!

I've got another suggestion for fanpop.
What do te think? (Please comment!)

The only game on fanpop is pop quiz (except the games fan makes in the fourms). It's so much fun to answer and do domande and try to be at the superiore, in alto list. But there is only one game like that, so i come up with an idea.
I'll be like the pop quiz with a superiore, in alto lista and the fan makes all the matches and te can segnala them (you can't remove them da yourself), everyone can commento the match after doig them and it'll shows who has done every match and how hard every match is (%), as i detto it's pretty much like pop quiz!
You'll...

For quite a while I've been commenting on other people's picks and waiting for a reply, and refreshing the page, and refreshing the page, and refreshing the page, only to find that they haven't replied for 2 days and finally figure that they have probably gone on holiday o actually have a life.

So I have thought up an idea to keep us aware of any commenti on our comments.... whatever; anyway I have thought up of a "keep me updated" button; this means that commenti appear in our update box as if we owned the content.

I like to post my ideas in an articolo rather than a suggestions email because I like to see what my fellow fan think. If it's getting annoying I'll email te guys like everyone else does.

Ok, this is my first time to write a soapbox. Please be gentle with me and don't make it hurt too much. *giggle*

So I've been a member of fanpop for a little while now, and I've seen how the community has evolved and grown. I first came to fanpop for two reasons: link and link.

Towards the end of Season 1 of Heroes, my interest in fanpop started waning. Call it TV burnout. But a funny thing happened: Dave sent me a message about a new feature that was going to debut: Picks! I dabbbled in it a little da adding the pick: link It was fun, but I didn't think I'd be creative enough to add any good...
