I remember my first year on fanpop for regularly contributing to a spot I could get a medal within a few months but, this past year it has taken 11 months for me to gain 2 medals in 2 spots I barely contributed to and there are spots I contribute more to and have done it for months and get nothing! It makes me not want to use fanpop anymore! It isn't fair. I wanted to know how long it takes for others to get medals!

With the way the system is now I have no clue. Used to be if you added a variety of content consistently over a few months period, you'd get a dedicated medal. Each following medal would take a bit longer than the one before. But now I've gotten completely random medals- some of them skipping dedicated and going straight to die hard- in spots that I've barely contributed to at all and usually haven't even participated in for years. The system makes no sense any more. I haven't gotten a medal that I've felt I actually earned in a very long time. There have been a few spots where I've contributed quite a bit and in the old days I probably would've had a medal in those spots by now. But like I said, the system doesn't make sense any more and seems to be based simply on how long you've been in a spot rather than any contributions you've made to the spot.

I have no idea..... I have a couple of Die Hard medals in spots that totally skipped the Dedicated medal... So I just don't understand how the system works, and I honestly never did.

Don't think there is a usual amount of time for me. I think all of these have happened to me at some point!

I think it took me about 2.5 years to get my first medal.
