okay this isnt a rant on the new layoot- i just wondered aboot the new wall feature..those of us who have been here a while should have no problems finding the prop to attach to our message BUT what aboot new users? I somehow feel the props (and everyone know how much i love props) are now so hidden that new users will probably not even be aware of them.
i am wondering if there is an easy solution to this..maybe a filter to the wall that says "props i have given" so that at least the WORD is there somewhere? so people know its a possibility?

or maybe a text that is on the writing field along the lines of "use this space for either a message to your friends or to award the with a prop for their contributions" that disappears when you write?

No better ideas than yours, oh wise germany. But I will say that a) newbies aren't understanding the prop wall, for the reasons that you point out, and b) prop conversations have only ever so slightly descreased, with most people just continuing to use the props in the same way as they did before. Although, I did see a LOL worthy prop conversation in which a couple of prop whores were annoyed that when they propped people sometimes their prop conversationing buddy would forget to click the little prop symbol, meaning that they were currently giving out more props than they were getting back and that, quite frankly, is a very distressing issue for these prop whores. Oy vey, life is tough.

I took a break for a couple of months and I thought they completely got rid of props. But then I realized that the props were still shown at the top of your profile so I was like "Oh well they couldnt have got rid of them then.." and then I saw the little icon thing. It's not easy to see in my opinion. It should say the words "give prop"

i dont think they will know they might figure it out evetually but probly not as quickly as they new people used to

it does say "attach prop" when you hover over the symbol with your mouse..but not sure lots of people would do that. they do have "give props" option underneath the "become a fan" option- i guess that helps.
for all content they could add a "prop" button so you can directly prop someone and then it could take you DIRECTLY to the wall with the correct prop already attached!? THAT would be nifty!

cause this would also take away from proping the USER (OH EM GEE I LUV U SO MUCH AND GIMME LOTS OF PROPS LOLZ CUZ UR A FAN OF ME) but actually the users CONTRIBUTION to fanpop (which is how it should be).
