Ever since the word first came out that
would receive a companion series, the fans clamored in excitement at the thought of seeing character from The Walking Dead appear on another series outside of their yearly 16 episodes. However, when
was announced as being a prequel to the hit AMC series on the opposite coast of the country, fans\' hopes were dashed.
was announced and has begun airing, everyone involved has been asked about the possibilities of a crossover. At times, the thought has been ruled out but others have seen teases of a possible link way down the line.
producer Dave Erickson and got his thoughts on the matter. The possibilities not only look grim, but are being completely ruled out for the time being.
"As of right now, no, there is no plan," Erickson says. "From a narrative perspective, nevermind the geography of it all, I think it would be too difficult to pull off. I don\'t think there\'s anything, as far as I\'ve read in the comic, I don\'t think there\'s any trackway for that either. It\'s such a complicated proposition and I think for the time being, the two shows just need to exist in their own spheres."
Trying to further the possibilities or toss some ideas into the mix, we suggested bringing the long lost character of Morales from
\'s story line but Erickson didn\'t comment. Instead, he got a good chuckle from the idea.
will return for the second half of its second season on August 21 at 9 PM ET on AMC. For complete coverage, insider info, and more all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter and check out The Walking Dead on ComicBook.com on Facebook.

I can see at the end of "FtWD\'s" Run, whatever\'s left from the California Crew head east. Eventually linking up w/Abrham\'s Crew (by this Point, say Season 6 or 7) more than likely Abraham, Rosita, & Eugene will all be dead on TWD. So we could see maybe Nick & a few others Joining up w/the "Get Eugene to DC" Plan, and the Final 1/2 Season could have well known Characters, in the last Episode just prior to the Governor\'s Assault on the Prison all but Abe, Rosey, & Geno get off\'d and the final scene will be the Army Vehicle pulling up to Glenn & Tara.
1)when will people understand that they are in 2 different times zones? as a fan of both shows i would love for this for this to happen as well, but people need chill out, how many times is he going to address this?
2) if this could happen, maybe have some casts/characters from FTWD, ON-TO the TWD and make them look like rick and the rest of the crew, just pale, malnutrioned, exhausted etc. characters to be able to line them up on to TWD time frame. like, "oh this is them, XX years later" and then vise versa on FTWD years later episode. idk, just an idea...
LMAO the stupidest thing I\'ve read in a long time
Scarlett . even though Craig `s blurb is something... on tuesday I bought a great Ford Focus from bringing in $9521 this - 5 weeks past and-also, ten grand this past month . this is definitely the most financialy rewarding Ive ever had . I actually started 4 months ago and almost immediately was making minimum $71 per hour
They are in two different time-lines (for now), but FtWD (at least the first season) is set during the events of when Rick was in his coma, so the characters from TWD exist in this time-line, so a crossover isn\'t impossible to conceive.
