I thoroughly enjoyed Alicia taunting Al, but I still feel the need to keep up my 'disappointed' streak.
The timeline was confusing as hell. We've been putting up with this garbage for half a season and there are still parts when I have no clue when we are. It's such bullshit. All of it's just bullshit. How did Althea get the upper hand when Alicia had her bent backwards out a door? How did Morgan break Alicia? How has no one jammed that camera up Althea's ass yet?
Also: Frank did get a close-up at one point, but I still suspect that his double was used for most of his scenes, because he was far away, blurry, and silent for most of them. Congrats on being free of this mess, Frank. And Kim.
And even if Madison isn't really dead, I am very disappointed in the way this played out. This was her show, and she basically became a minor character this season - as did all the actual FTWD characters. This soft-reboot thing was fucking bullshit. You had a great show, assholes. Now look at it. *grabs AMC decision-makers by the scruffs of their necks* LOOK. AT. THIS. MESS.
This episode was the culmination of fucking bad storytelling. The dialogue was full TWD. Instead of properly watching what went down, we got slo-mo bits and pieces over even more stupid Althea confessionals. That pulls focus away from Madison's death, which, if real, is a massive moment for the show and her character deserves sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better. I should be an emotional wreck right now, but I'm not. I was a tiny bit teary when Nick was crying because that's my sweet angel and he's sad, but if Madison was gonna die, I wanted to cry! Instead we get some ill-conceived and poorly executed story where the characters make dumb decisions. BOO. link.
And WHAT in the sweet HELL was that STUPID SHIT where they all sit around telling the story of Madison's death, and then Strand is like, 'ok noodle time' and just starts handing out noddles?! And everyone's like, 'lol nom nom noodles we're friends now'. So fucking dumb. I'm so mad about those stupid noodles. I think they are a metaphor of the bullshit these new showrunners and writers are feeding us.
