While there are many women I look up to, one I've always admired is Audrey Hepburn. On superiore, in alto of being a great actress, I think she was an intelligent, Ribelle - The Brave and kind woman.
When she was young (from 10-15) she lived in the Netherlands while it was occupied da the Nazis. Her father had left the family da then, and she had to change her name to Edda to avoid the Nazis discovering her British roots. She suffered through a famine caused da the war, saw her uncle and cousin shot da Nazis, and would help the Dutch resistance da doing things such as performing in secret fundraisers. Later in life she spent a great deal of time working for UNICEF, it is essentially what she dedicated her life to once she stopped acting.
That she lived through such trauma at such a young age and rather than being destroyed da it responded with bravery, remained known for a kind and pleasant disposition, managed to build herself such a successful career afterwards, and used her experiences as motivation to help others is a great inspiration to me.
She was also intelligent. She spoke many languages fluently (different sources claim different amounts of languages, it was at least 4 but wikipedia claims 7).

I Idol Milla Jovovich! She's kickass in Ultra-Violet and the Resident Evil series. Not to mention she's a model, has a clothing line, she's a singer, and modelle for Cover Girl makeup. Not to mention she's raising a baby on superiore, in alto of it all! And while I may not have any of her particular careers planned for my future, (I want to write fantasy Novels o be a Screenwriter) she just shows me that it isn't impossible for a woman to do all of those things!

I find it interesting that when I think of "strong women," I don't think of actors o celebrities. Not that the women named aren't strong, no I totally understand why te would respect them - they are! Particularly Katherine Hepburn, I see that completely, she's amazing.

Nonetheless, for me, personally, that's not the first kind of person that comes to mind. And maybe that's background, o perspective, but if te ask me to name a strong woman, my automatic "word association" response is link. And most people don't know who she is. Because she's not a celebrity, she's not a superhero, she was just one girl, from Olympia, Washington, who wanted to make a difference. And she did. In life, she wrote beautiful diaries and prose explaining her deep, deep desire for peace and understanding in this wacky, wacky world. I quote her all of the time. I own the play written from her journals and emails. I have a special place in my cuore for her.

The secondo woman that comes to mind is Aung San Suu Kyi. Because, my God, I don't know of anyone short of Nelson Mandela who has done the things she has done. She inspires me beyond words.

Anyways. Those are my heroes, because they reflect my values, they are doing the work that I think is most important, and they won't back down in the face of tremendous adversity. And that inspires me.

I have a couple, but one of the first people that came to my mind was Drew Barrymore. Her parents were both alcoholics, she became a drug addict and a complete and utter mess, and then she came back strong. She's now sober and clean, a bigger stella, star than ever, and she's extremely talented. She's inspiration to people who don't think they can quit.

Lots of the women I admire have to do with music.
First of all, Amy Lee. She's very strong and independent, and she loves her job for what she is. And that's music. It's not about mostrare off her body, like most musicians do today. Like she said, "I'm a musician, not a stripper."

Next, I admire Lacey Sturm. She went through A LOT in her childhood, and she turned out very strong, and one of the most talented people I know.

Emilie Autumn. She doesn't give a fuck about what anyone has to say about her. She does what she likes, and what she feels is right for her. :)

Those are the biggest ones, but I also look up to Joan Jett, Hayley Williams, and Jodelle Ferland. :)

Joan of Arc. Although she was captured and killed at 19, I think she is the perfect example of a Female Ass-Kicker. I Amore Saint Joan. She was so Ribelle - The Brave and extraordinary!
