Who should have made the soundtracks if Ramin Djawadi wasn't an option?

My first choice would be Hanz Zimmer, who is a genius... I wouldn't want Howard puntellare, riva - I'm afraid that might sound too much like the LOTR soundtracks.

(He has made some Musica to Inception, The Last Samurai and Pirates of The Caribbean...)

Some of Djawadi's Musica for Dany reminds me of McCreary's BSG work... probably the combination of Middle Eastern instruments and poundy drums. :)
