Marriage should be about both. The reason we're fighting for gay marriage is to be legally recognized as marital partners, and receive all the legal benefits and contracts therin under the law.
Marriage should be about love and law. That's why we're fighting so hard to change it.
I cant tell you how many times i have asked myself and others around me the same question~! Yes the LOVE is the main ingrediant in the marriage~! People should really respect gays more than straight couples for this if you ask me. Its because their love is taboo to society that makes their love even stronger~! So my point being ~ if there is ABSOLUTE LOVE then there is NOTHING wrong with the two getting married!
Oh my god yes! If two men or two women want to get married, then why the hell not? it's love. No matter what the government does, they can't stop ppl from falling in love.
No one should be 'damned for loving someone...im bi, and I don't give a shit who doesn't like it. My own sister attacks my sexuality, and my 5-year old half-sister is being taught by her dad nd his mum about who God will punish for doing what is wrong...i can't WAIT for the topic of homosexuality to come up.
People marry because they love someone (well mostly, you can't actually prove you love someone to authorities so there are people who marry for other reasons, but that isn't the point here).
But the thing is that the laws should allow them to marry, because there is some rights that legally married people have that isn't available to people who love their other half but aren't tied legally together with. So I guess it's about love in the eyes of each other and about law in the eyes of others.
I think it should be both. Some people think that marriage is between a man and a woman. What they don't understand is that marriage is between two people who love eachother and want to go up and beyond with their relationship. Also, this is about love.

:D
Love is NOT a law, its a RIGHT! its life!

As long as their not marrying a five year old or something like that, it shouldn't be such a big deal.
