It definately not 'ruin the character' bad, but it was really unexpected and far-fetched. I felt like they wrote the story and just assigned it to a character. It didn't help that the photo looked nothing believably like her- not the acne or the weight, but some of Quinn's features were lost in it. I feel like it was something Sue would have found out a long time ago. Also it feels inconsistant with the episode Ballad, with just the way her dad talked about their perfect little family.
It's good to know that she's not totally perfect, but they could have just brought back her story from last year.

^^Maybe it would have been better if she didn't change her name. In my opinion, Quinn was already a perfectly screwed-up character to begin with. Why did they have to add this?
