What's the biggest mistake people make when they dibattito here?

Not coming up with their own arguments.

People tend to say the same things over and over and over and over again.

How many times have people used "Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength, and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend." as if it's their own argument?
o the Stephen King quotes.

Some people tend to severely overuse these quotes, and pass them off as legitimate claims.



When someone actually does say something new, o that hasn't been regurgitated da almost everyone, time and time again, people respond with "You took the words right out of my mouth."
I seriously doubt so many people share the exact same thoughts, but failed to ever mention it. If te had something original to say, why not say it? Why wait for someone else to say it, then say "Yeah, me too."



There's also the thing where people tend to honestly believe that negative opinions are più factual than positive opinions.

Not coming up with their own arguments, like Cassie said.

Not knowing the meaning of the words they are using. For example, claiming that Edward is a pedophile for dating Bella/Bella is a necrophile for dating Edward.

Thinking they are right about everything because they belong to a certain fandom and/or they are smarter and their opinions matter più because they belong to a certain fandom.

Thinking opinions are facts. And not being able to tell the difference between opinions and facts.

As to how to fix it...
Thinking for themselves is always a good start. Actually looking at what they're reading, researching the claims they are making (whether that be Leggere the dictionary o Leggere the libri they're debating against), and looking around on this spot to see what's been debated, said, and discussed. Actually deciding for themselves what the issues are they have with that particular series, instead of listening to what others have to say. And actually paying attention to what they themselves are saying. For example, don't say it's not physically possible for Bella to get pregnant, and then turn around and berate her for not having protected sex. Don't say Bella is perfect, and then whine about her flaws.

-Using poor grammar and spelling, I have noticed has been a mistake for some.
-Also, not supporting their arguements with strong and willful evidence, from the books!

-When people become rude and begin insulting their opponant.

-When they say that one of the actors is, "Hot", "Sexy"

-Lack of justification. ( mentioned basically above)

- When they adopt a 'troll-type'attitude.

They have no clue that the people here are relentless in their argument, and if te slip up once, they will gun te down like Justin Beiber in CSI.

The same thing is detto over and over agian.
People use opinions for facts.
People do not let others have an opinion.

People get angry and therefore rage is taken out on each other, and that is really the biggest mistake. People just need to calm down, and that way everyone can get their point across nicely, and we can have a PROPER debate.

I dont know about others but mine is spelling and sometimes grammar.

One of the worst habits many users have is targeting their insults at the wrong people.
This forum is Harry Potter vs Twilight, not Kristen Stewart vs Emma Watson o Daniel Radcliffe vs Robert Pattinson. I dislike people criticizing the actors because of the roles they play. There's no need to have a beauty contest between Emma and Kristen to decide which book is better.

They usually try to tell each other off instead of debating. Also, they go on and on about how their book is better with no facts to support their opinion.
So, it's not really a debate, is it?

People just using "Twilight/Harry Potter sucks!" as arguments.

Twilight Haters:
Saying Bella doesn't have a personality, and then saying she's whiny, o dependent.
HP Haters:
Saying that the series drags on for too long. IMO
