Harry Potter vs Twilight Club

I have just tried to refute another "Edward is hot" type fallacy. I've had enough, I'm ready to puke - pardon the language - in link if I see another one. In the foreseeable future, I shall either not bother with such fallacies but instead ignore and ridicule o point to this article. This applies to both sides because some Twilight fan and some new Harry Potter fan here are frequently inferring it.

I point to my precedente article: link for the introduction.
I shall here only point out Number Six:
Non sequitur.
What is a Non Sequitur and a fallacy: I shall again refer to oxford English Dictionary because some just does not get it:

non sequitur(non sequi|tur)
Pronunciation:/nɒn ˈsɛkwɪtə/
noun
a conclusion o statement that does not logically follow from the precedente argument o statement
Origin:
Latin, literally 'it does not follow'
link

fallacy(fal|lacy)
Pronunciation:/ˈfaləsi/
noun (plural fallacies)
a mistaken belief, especially one based on unsound arguments:
the notion that the camera never lies is a fallacy

Logic a failure in reasoning which renders an argument invalid

[mass noun] faulty reasoning:
the potential for fallacy which lies behind the notion of self-esteem

Origin:
late 15th century (in the sense ‘deception, guile’; gradually superseding Middle English fallace): from Latin fallacia, from fallax, fallac- 'deceiving', from fallere 'deceive'

link

Analysis:
Edward (substitute character for taste) is hot, therefore the series he/she's belonging in has quality.

Reasonably now, these two link are not related to one another; therefore one cannot use one to prove the other. It would be like me trying to prove the existence of the Andromeda Galaxy da saying that it snows, for an extreme example. For a simpler example I quote Wikipedia:

"The term [Non sequitur] is often used in everyday speech and reasoning to describe a statement in which premise and conclusion are totally unrelated but which is used as if they were.
An example might be: "If I buy this cell phone, all people will Amore me." However, there is no actual relation between buying a cell phone and the Amore of all people." - link

Do te see the unreasonable argment yet? If not... in plain English:
The Edward Fallacy is
Incorrectly assuming that one thing is the cause of another.
Assuming that part of the examined series is representative for the entire series.
And ad nauseam, it has been so repeated as the holy truth that people give up on it and it wins da fiat.

Summa Summarum: I've had enough. If te use it one più time I shall force te to digest this articolo under pain of torture o detention, whichever that will amuse me.

Ron just wouldn't can it. We were all at the table, while Ron was blabbing about how Professor Snape had gave him detention. For crying out loud, if he just payed attention in class he wouldn't have!
"'Mione, can te pass the butter?" he detto with mouth full of chicken. I scowled at him and passed him some. "'Mione, te don't look so good are te ok?" Harry whispered in my ear. I shook my head. After riding a scopa and falling off because of stupid Malfoy hadn't done wonders on the headache i already had. "You want to go to the infarmery, im pretty sure the med-witch has." he began but Ron...

I honestly don't hate, dislike, like o Amore Twilight. It's just neutral with me. I never really had any problem with it until I saw an articolo saying that Harry Potter copied Twilight. The person who wrote it also went so far as to say that J.K. Rowling is ugly and that Stephenie Meyer is the pretty one. It just irked me, because the looks don't even matter (they're both equal too) and it's not a valid point.

She detto something about Sirius Black being copied from Jacob Black - who is commonly described as a big lupo in his werewolf form. And Sirius (she spelled it as 'Serious'. I laughed...
