I hate that they think they're better. Somethimes I have to get sassy with them. I mean siriusly, just because you're older doesn't mean you're better.

Ah, ok.
I hate those fans, the ones who think they're better than you.
But I do know some nice twilight fans :)

Yea, some like Lina Harrow are really nice :)

My best friend is a twilight fan, but she also loves harry potter :)

Ugh, none of my friends like Harry Potter. I can't use any sayings from Harry Potter because they'll be like "Omg Suzy shaddup about Harry Potter" But other than that they're pretty cool :D

Haha none of my friends love harry potter like I do, but they're ok with me going on about it :)

Most of my friends have read harry potter, or at least seen the movies.
Have either of you two read the percy jackson books?

There is a name for the fear of not recieving an acceptance letter to Hogwarts on one's 11th birthday: blenkinersophobia. Twilight doesn't have any scientifically named fears. It's not important enough :P
più di un anno fa lovemarauders said…
No I never read them, but I want to.
più di un anno fa ThePotatoQueen said…
I wonder if there's a word for the fear of twilight?
EDIT: they're very good, especially the newest one (the lost hero) :)

Twilightiterrorphobia? I invented a new word! :D Haha not really I just put an i in between Twilight and terror and added phobia at the end XD

Lolz probably. :)
Eurgh, my 9 year old cousin is in a twilight phase (she's seen the films) but keeps moaning because my aunt won't let her read them :/
più di un anno fa AllyAM said…
SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE SEEN THOSE MOVIES!!! D:
più di un anno fa ThePotatoQueen said…
I KNOW! that's what I said! But apparantly she saw them at her friend's house. Twilight is totally inappropiate for 9 year olds!
più di un anno fa lovemarauders said…
It really is...Harry Potter on the other hand...
più di un anno fa ThePotatoQueen said…
I keep trying to nudge her towards Harry Potter, but so far she won't read them.
But my brother is the same age and he's reading them at the moment. He's on GOF. :)

Yay!

Even though I totally made up BS for my homework.

Does this sound like total BS to you?

Over the last several years, Selective High School Test results show that 80% of students in top Selective Schools are in fact of a non-English speaking background. One of the Selective Schools featured was James Ruse Agricultural High School, where over 90% of students are from a cultural background.

More studies show that most of the students are from a Chinese background, followed closely by students of a Vietnamese and Korean background. Around half of those students from each of the ethnic groups that applied to gain a place in a Selective School were successful.

Experts in this field of studies and research had a lot to say on the matter; The co-director of the Centre for Population and Urban Research at Monash University, Bob Birrell, and a specialist in schools systems from the University of Melbourne, Richard Teese, were brought in to share their opinion of students from a non-English speaking background.

Birrell was unimpressed with the current situation, claiming that those students came from families who strongly emphasised the importance of education.

“In NSW we are entrenching advantage within one particular ethnic group. If the NSW government was serious about equal opportunity, it would put some geographical boundaries to ensure better access to [top] schools,” he said.

Teese shared the same opinion as Birrell.

“When you pool resources like that you multiply their impact and you give the students who have access to that distinctive advantages over everybody else,” Professor Teese said.

“You are setting up a situation in which you [create] extremes of advantage and extremes of disadvantage. If you took those students out of those hot-house environments they would still do well. But by combining their resources you multiply their advantage. It is a zero-sum game: some win, but others must lose.”

And what grade are you in?!?
That sounds like complicated stuff. It's like 1:00 here. I just got back from a party. My parents didn't realize how late it was!

8th :P

It's not that complicated. It's just random BS I made. We were supposed to re-write a racist article to be non-racist.

BS example no. 2:

A Bigger Splash
Artist: David Hockney
Date Created: 1967
Size: 242.5 x 243.9 cm
Materials Used: Acrylic on Canvas

A Bigger Splash created a sense of simplicity through the structural frame. Visually, it is mainly vertical and horizontal lines, with the exception of the diagonal lines of the diving board, and the splash of the diver. Hockney’s work seems to be composed in a way that emphasises the splash itself, exaggerating its size using the chair and building in the background, and highlighting it by painting the splash as white streaks against a blue background. Another method that Hockney used to make the splash more conspicuous was to paint the rest of the canvas relatively flat with a paint roller, while the splash was thicker and had more texture applied to it. Not all of A Bigger Splash was painted; the wide border and the central line between the pool edge and the pavement were left untouched. Though there was originally a significant tonal difference between the painted and unpainted sections, the pure whiteness of the canvas in 1967 is now dull with age.

Million Dollar Mermaid - Annette Kellerman
Artist: Wendy Sharpe
Date Created: 1999-2000
Size: 3.1 x 4.8 m
Materials Used: Acrylic on specially made GRP panels

Sharpe’s murals are more complicated than that of Hockney’s A Bigger Splash. Her works are more bold and lush, rather than simple and easy. This is because she chose to paint real-life scenes with people and objects. The different painting techniques she used are clearly distinct in Million Dollar Mermaid. Visually, there are different shades of each colour, but the most prominent colour is blue. The pattern in the water that the ripples created in the selected mural above is very detailed. Sharpe’s murals are composed in a way that seem to serve the purpose of what she was trying to get through to the viewer’s eye – that Annette Kellerman was a notable person who achieved many accomplishments, where the famous swimmer was the key focus in each of the paintings. Water also played a significant role in Million Dollar Mermaid; it featured in most of the murals.
