((Note: Even though this is classified as a fanfic, this is a true story, the story of one Potterhead, and the years in which I grew up.))

I'm proud to call myself a Potterhead. It's a titolo I've justly earned. Especially now. As our first anno without Harry Potter draws to a close, all of us think back, back over the journey that brought us here.

My entrance into the world could hardly be called remarkable. The data of my birth wouldn't become widely known for several years. I was born on July 31st, 1993, at 1:25 in the morning.

The first few years of my life are nothing but a blur, now. te could almost say my life began five years after my birth, in August of 1998. This time, thirteen years fa now, was the beginning of it all. J.K. Rowlingreleased Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 1998. Not long after the book's release, I became , quite possibly, the youngest Potterhead in history.

The book was dato to me da my kindergarten teacher. Since I was barely five, I was still too young to really understand the book. My mom turned it into my bedtime story, Leggere part of it every night to me. Out of the mists of my memories, I can still hear her voice, Leggere the story. "Chapter one, the Boy Who Lived…" Those few words began something that lasted for most of my life.

And so, as the years began to pass, I became a devoted Potterhead, even though the term hadn't reached my ears yet. I was young, yet I dreamed of Hogwarts letters winging their way towards me. I had quite a bit of merchandise from that time, most of which is still in my posession. The Harry Potter libri were, for quite some time, the longest libri in my library.

I spent hours poring over the books. When the first sposta was released, I went tosee it for my birthday. That was in the summer of 2001. Even then, I was still young. When Voldemort made his first appearance, I had to hide my face. Yet the movie had a più lasting effect. Soon after seeing the movie, I returned to the books, and rereadd the first one. And that was when something strange happened. I heard the actors from the movie saying their lines as I read the book.

più time began to pass. I can remember refusing to see the secondo movie in the theater, due to a certain anteprima mostrare the Polyjuice sequence. After that, I didn't see another one of the moviex in the theater, not for many più years.

***

As the years went on, I was no longer as devoted as before. I read the books, and saw the Film some time after they came out, but that was all. Even though I slept on the same cuscino as before, I no longer dreamed of Hogwarts letters. I had hidden my Potterhead past, seemingly for good.

In July of 2011, exactly ten years since the Film began, and thirteen since the series began, the final movie was released. As soon as I saw the previews, I knew what I wanted to do for my eighteenth birthday, the giorno my childhood ends and I become an adult.

As was fitting for my life, I saw the last movie in the theater, the only other Harry Potter movie I saw that way since Sorcerer's Stone. As the last scene faded to black, I could feel tears in my eyes. Not only was I crying for the end of the movie, but the end of my childhood as well. I couldn't quite force myself to set Harry aside. He had always been such a major force in my life. Yet I had to.

***

The first months were the easiest, actually. Occasionally I would have a moment, a moment where I would remember something. But they were few and far between. It wasn't until January 2012 that I reconnected with my inner Potterhead. I found people who knew almost as much as I did, who grew up with Harry, who I could connect with. I really found a place where I belonged. I found my Hogwarts in this very spot.

***

As we sposta into our secondo anno without Harry in our lives, we can at least look back and proudly call ourselves Potterheads. "Always."

***

The past few months made me notice quite a few things I missed before. I was born July 31. I am very nearsighted. My name, Johanna, can easily be shortened to Jo, if I'd let you. My dark brown hair is a thick, untameable mess. My glasses are oval in shape. And, most curoius of all, I grew up with a family that never really understood me.

***

((I would Amore to hear your thoughts. Also, *wink wink* if te know someone that became a Potterhead at a younger age than me, I'd Amore to hear about them. Feel free to share your own story.))

The world finally felt in balance. And for some reason, I knew that my mother would eventually find out about Hugo becoming back to ''normal'' again. My father would probably tell her.
But Hugo is far from being his normal self. Whenever we're at meals, he always glances awkwardly at Abby and Blake, his two ''friends'' that practically changed him completely. But now, all is well.

''So,'' I ask Hugo, ''Have te caught up with all your homework?''

Today, we're sitting with our usual crew: Lily, James, Albus, Aimee, and Lizzie, but with the exception of Roxy and Fred.

He takes a ingoiare, inghiottire of...

When I woke up, I made some decisions. First: I was going to put off Scrivere to my mother. She can't solve all our problems, especially when she isn't here. Second: I was going to talk to Hugo. I knew that it wouldn't be easy, but I was still going to try. Third: I should talk to my cousins più often.
I got up, and ''made'' my cot, and walked into Hagrid's ''main'' part of his hut. Most of my cousins were awake, the only ones who were still asleep were Louis and Teddy.

''While the men are asleep..'' Dominique whispered, ''Is anyone in the bathroom?''

Victoire detto no, and Dominique disappeared...

The following is in answer to the domanda about Barty Crouch's role in the events of 1994-1995. Please keep in mind that this follows both Crouches, is as chronological as possible, and contains some speculation.

In the early 1980s, Barty Crouch Jr. (who will becreferred to as Junior) joined the Death Eaters. He was among those branded with the Dark Mark. This means that Junior was among Voldemort's inner circle, as only they were permitted to orso the Mark.
Some time after Voldemort's first fall, hhe fell in with the Lestrange family. The four Death Eaters wer looking for Voldemort, wanting...

"HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS – Part I" (2010) Review

I have been a major fan of J.K. Rowling’s "HARRY POTTER" novels as much as the successivo person. But I would have never become a fan if it had not been for the movie adaptations of the novels. Mind you, I have not harbored a high opinion of all the movie adaptations. It has been a mixed bag for me over the past nine years. Of the seven Film that were made, I have a high opinion of at least four of them. And last year's movie - "HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS – Part I" - happened to be one of them.

I never thought I would...

Chapter 2

Once Hermione was finished with cleaning Snape’s face, they decided to bring him back to the castello for a proper burial. They could not let him there, abandoning him like this after all he had done for them. He still had his black school accappatoio, vestaglia on. They wrapped him in carefully, feeling respect for him like they had never felt before. Hermione took the Potions Master’s wand with her, putting it in her sleeve.

With a Levitation Charm, they brought him back to the castle, but not through the secret passageway this time. It would take più time but it would be easier and più dignified...

The zucca succo, succo di frutta was spilled all over Severus Snape's face, and some managed to dribble into his jet black hair (which in Lilly's opionion, wasn't greasy but più silky). His clothes were too big, and hung over him, like drapery on a curtain rod. "Sev," Lilly Evans hissed across the table, "there's some succo, succo di frutta in your hair." He flushed a shade of scarlet, embarassed at the thought of how rediculous he must look. He grabbed a cloth napkin off the table, and seemingly scrubbed his face, as if rubbing it harder would make James Potter's laughter stop. Lilly caught Severus's hand. "You shouldn't...

Every anno at Hogwarts seems to get darker and darker. But when Harry Potter starts his sixth anno in "Half-Blood Prince," expect things to lighten up a bit.

"If we pull [it] off [right], it should be the funniest of the films so far," Daniel Radcliffe promised.

That's because, as director David Yates points out, it's the "sex, drugs, and rock and roll" of the Potter books, with massive making-out sessions to occur for several characters — Ron and Lavender, Harry and Ginny — as they come of age. "It's the 'American Graffiti' for this set," Yates said. "I'm looking inoltrare, avanti to developing the...

Well... maybe not. At least, I don't think he is.

I must admit, J.K. completely got me. I fell for it all, hook, line and sinker.

I waited on line at midnight on July 16 to be among the first to get a copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, like millions of others around the world, and I had it completely read da the afternoon of the successivo day.

Caught up in the roller coaster of J.K.'s marvelous and fantastic mysteries, Snape's betrayal and the death of Dumbledore caught me completely da surprise. Dumbledore was dead, and on superiore, in alto of that, Snape had done it.

My brand-new copy of Half-Blood...

Throughout the Harry Potter books, there are some variations between the Bloomsbury (British) and Scholastic (American) editions. Below the first section on "Philosopher's vs. Sorcerer's" is a section on other different terminologies used.

Philosopher's vs. Sorcerer's

When Scholastic was publishing Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in America, they decided to rename the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. They claimed that the American and British uses of the word philosopher were a bit different, so therefore sorcerer was a più appropriate word. Any true Harry Potter fan, American...
