If not little known, at least little remembered. ;) I've collected here eleven (in my opinion) of the most interesting and useful ones. Plus my commenti on some of them.

1. There is no such thing as a pureblood family. Every wizarding family has a muggle o a few among them. Some just choose to attraversare, croce them over in their family albero and pretend they don't exist and instead claim themselves as purebloods.

^I can see Blacks and Malfoys doing that. But makes me wonder why were the Crouches noted as purebloods then, as evidently the father and son were not passionate about purity of blood....

HOGWARTS STAFF
Headmaster Albus Dumbledore: His first name is from the Latin word alba, "white." His last name, according to Rowling interviews, is Old English for "bumblebee." In colour symbolism, white often stands for purity, so the headmaster's name suggests honour and a hard-working nature ("busy as a bee").
Professor Binns: A bin is a large storage container. A dustbin is British English for a garbage can. This boring professor could be described as a ghostly storage for information that many Hogwarts students view as rubbish.
Headmaster Armando Dippet: Armando is from the name Armand,...

Harry Potter married Ginny Weasley. They had three children, James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna. He became head of the Auror's Department under Kingsley Shacklebolt.

Ginny Weasley played quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies. After deciding to raise a family, she retired and became Senior Quidditch correspondent at the Daily Prophet.

Hermione Granger married to Ron Weasely and had two children, Rose and Hugo. Hermione went back to Hogwarts and sat her NEWTS before working for Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and helping house elves. She then moved to the Department...

I decided to write this articolo because I have seen many commenti lately that kind of bother me.

There are several picks in which this has come up, but the last one I have seen, and the reason why I am Scrivere this is the question: ¿Have te completely changed your attitude towards a character after reading/watching their past stories? (or something along those lines)

link

It is a really interesting question, and what really caught my attention were the answers, the comments, especially since it wasn't the first time that I am Leggere commenti like those.

The thing is that in that pick, James...

Ever wondered what the dedications at the beginning of each Harry Potter book mean? te can find all the risposte on this page!

Harry Potter and the Philosopher/Sorcerer's Stone
For Jessica, who loves stories, for Anne, who loved them too, and for Di, who heard this one first.
Explanation: Jessica is JK Rowling’s twelve-year-old daughter. Anne was Jo’s mother, who, unfortunately, died of Multiple Sclerosis on December 30th, 1990. Dianne, o “Di," is Jo’s younger sister who she read Philosopher/Sorcerer’s Stone before Jo sent it off to be reviewed.

Now that Harry Potter is over, I’ve made a little lista of the films from my least-favorite to most preferito (as of now…it tends to change), listing some of the pros and cons of each. I wrote this just for fun, and I’d like to hear your thoughts as well. This is just my humble opinion, and I’m sure it will be different from yours, but no rude commenti please :)

#8. HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE (2004) Mike Newell
The fourth Harry Potter movie, whilst not being exactly the longest, feels like it’s the longest. The special effects are great, but in my point of view they hardly...

At my uni we've been studying the way gender and sexism shapes the education curriculum.

This was an articolo we were actually dato to read and dibattito about in a seminar:

"Harry Potter's girl trouble
The world of everyone's preferito kid wizard is a place where boys come first.
By Christine Schoefer

Four factors made me go out and buy the Harry Potter books: Their impressive lead on the bestseller lists, parents' raves about Harry Potter's magical ability to turn kids into passionate readers, my daughters' clamoring and the mile-long waiting lists at the public library. Once I opened "The Sorcerer's...

Well, I know some people say that it's bad because it has withcraft, but I think te movie is very entertaining and kind of funny. My preferito character is Harry Potter, ofcourse. I like him because she's a little diferent from the others in a way. To me, he also seems like the "chosen one" if te know what I mean. Ron is really cool too. He's the funny guy in the group. Hermione,at first got on my nerves because she she seemed like a know it all. During the third movie, I started to like her more.
That pretty much covers the three main characters so I'll go on to how I feel about the storylines...

 Bellatrix Lestrange
Bellatrix Lestrange
I have been on the Harry Potter spot for a while now and I constantly find myself getting asked "why do te like Bellatrix?" So I decided to type up this article. Thank te lifeisgoodx3 for inspiring me to do so.

So why would some one like a person who killed Sirius, Dobby, Tonks, and tortured Hermione and the Longbottms? Well I actually have multiple reasons as to why I like her; Bellatrix stands for what she believes in, she's crazy and funny, pretty, unique, strong and confident, she has an interesting story behind her, I can relate to her, she has potential to be a good guy, and I have a...

Here's a comparison and contrast essay I wrote for school - keep in mind my English teacher has never read Harry Potter, so I had to explain stuff.

When comparing a book and a film, o something similar, the first thing one thinks about is obviously the plot. And in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, at first glance, you'll find it's rather similar in both the book and the film. Harry, Ron and Hermione, the main trio, go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for their sixth year. They're shocked when they find out that ex-Potions Master Severus Snape has been named Defence Against...

There are many, many reasons to Amore Hermione Granger. She is a wonderfully written character and a great role model. However, lately I've been seeing a lot of people say things to the extent of "i Amore hermione because she's sooooo pretty!!!!! she's the most beautiful girl in hogwarts and i Amore her!!!!!" It seems harmless, and it probably is. But I have a problem with it.

People tend to obsess over her appearances, when Hermione herself would probably scoff at such things. Hermione was never one to care all that much about physical appearances; she was far più concerned over più important...

As many people here on the Harry Potter spot know, Sirius Black is my preferito character. He has always been and always will be. Some people, along with me, Amore him. Some hate him. Some don't have much of an opinion on him. I've decided that I want to explain why I like Sirius, and how I came to like him.

I saw HP 1-6 Film before Leggere any of the books. I remember loving Sirius, even before I read the books. I believe the reason I liked him at the time was the relationship he had with Harry. Harry never really had a father figure, and Sirius was the first family he had. I must have thought...
