Draco isn't a coward, he just knows what's best for him. That's being intelligent. Actually, he's not cute in the movies, I like him in the books because he's the only character that's normal, not totally heroic but enough to become a death eater and risk his own life for his family, but then again, knowing that whoever he chooses to support, he's just getting closer to death. And in "Deathly Hallows" he pretends he doesn't recognize Hermione and the others because after all they've been through, he doesn't want to see them dead. So please don't say he's a coward just because Harry can risk everything 'cause he's got nothing, and Ron and Hermione risk everything because no matter what, they've got Harry and if they don't risk everything they've got to kill Voldemort, then Voldermort is going to kill them and everyone they know. But Draco's got everything and he's in the other side, so Voldemort is not going to kill him unless he makes a mistake. He's just being careful.

And after all, being brave is way too close of not thinking about the consequences. So I just believe is't healthier being careful and, yeah, a little coward.

Maybe we have a different definition of cowad but mine is: "a person who lacks courage in facing danger, difficulty, opposition, pain, etc" This is exactly what draco is! He is too scared to face Voldemort so he just follows him and when Voldemort is not there he just pretends like that never happened.
Maybe even if he was a loyal follower of Voldemort and even when Voldemort wasnt there he kept defending him - that would show that he is brave. BUT NO...he is too much of a coward and just pretends to be in both sides.

Even at the end of the book Ron+Harry saved Draco from the death eaters more than one time and Draco didnt even do anything to repay the favour. He kept switching sides when it was convenient for him
And it is very clear to me tht Hermione hates Draco and will never ever (well obviously the books are done and she ended up with Ron) like him!

Draco DOES NOT pretend he doesn't recognize them. He tells them full out that that person is HERMIONE and then says that the other COULD BE harry but he doesn't know for sure (because he's face was deformed)

about this hole polemic that has been going lately I can't really understand whats going on about the Draco discussion because I havn't read the 7º book- I don't really like HP much, I'm just came here in the first place because my friends Sbossuy and Praessse asked me to =P - so I don't knwo añything abot deformed faces or Hermione being tortured - I'm kind of glad about the lastone because I find her to much of an annoying smartass ¬¬ and she kind of made me have nightmeares with a fanfic involving a wond ( varita magica I don't know how to spell it =P ) and Sirius =S - so I'm not going to give my opinion about that.

Other people said that some of the other couples COULDNT exist in the books. NOT that it would be wrong for them to exist if the circumstances were different.

I don't think anyone was trying to be rude (except for Mariodelboca who just had no problem being rude clearly). But everyone else was stating their opinions on couples from HARRY POTTER, which is why this pick was a bit confusing... because some of them don't exist in the books. Maybe in fan fics or hypothetically, but that's why it was confusing.

But other than that, nobody was trying to be rude about it. I'm sorry for my part if my comments sounded rude to anyone...They weren't rude in my head when I was writing them :D

Tere are al LOT of people who aren't happy whith the books couples and they like to... dream. I personaly like made-up couples more than the traditional couples.
BUT there is one thing I can't let you pass. ONLY Harry's face was deformed. It's true. Re-read the book and you'll see. And Draco was protecting his famaly in Malfoy Manor. He was SHURE that it was Harry, Hermione and Ron(since only harry's face was deform) but he didn't answer directly. And whaen he finished, he whent over to his mother in the fireplace. He was woried about her. The Malfoys were in a dificult position after Lucius was sent to askabam, he HAD to look out for his falily, but he actualy didn't want to give them up

Honestly, stop flaming each other. Who CARES if these couples never existed? We still have the right to ship. And please, don't flame our slash (gay) couples. So slash isn't your cup of tea. So jsut don't read the fanfics/look at the fanart. That simple. Like for example. I think pretty much every Snape pairing is bad. But I don't go tell a Snape/Lily shipper they are stupid. If they ask, I just say I dislike the pairing.

Remus and Sirius are just...hot. I LOVE this ship. I secretly think that they were in love together since school and snuck out to the Forbidden Forest in James' invisibility cloak into their Boudoir of Love. Then Tonks wanted Remus, but Remus didn't want her, but Sirius intervened and said for some reason they COULDN'T be together.

It just makes me happy. :)

i started to read the books and i love the hate relationship between Draco and Hermione, they are so fun and both so strong and HOT!i saw a lot of FF and vid about them, like A LOT.. i didn't know it was so popular, im impressed!GO DRAMIONE!

This is an actual popualr thing on tumblr. And apparently, JKR was planning to put these two together at one point, then changed her mind. Anyway, it sounds like a bit of an unlikely pairing, but I think it would have worked, since people think they're opposites, but they're not completely. Hermione has broken a few rules in her time, and Fred is intelligent. (How else would he and George been able to invent a line of awesome products?) I think it would have been interesting, because they'd mellow out each other's extremes (so Hermione would be less obedient to the rules etc) and it wouldn't be very expected, but still awesome. And they've had little moments in the books if you squint hard enough. (Not forgetting that scene in the Goblet of Fire movie.)

Long story short, they'd be a cute, interesting couple, because I'm sure they'd bicker at times, but (from analysing the books way too mauch) I can tell there's something there, and you csn see how JKR was actually leading up to putting them together, until she changed her mind, and went back to Ron.

(I still like Romione too though.)
