What horror do te recommend?

A wise man once said, "If te want something done right, do it yourself." After being a bit peeved with precedente film adaptations of his works, horror novelist Clive Barker did just that..
It is probably the best horror film of the 80's, excluding perhaps The Howling.I first saw this in theaters when it came out. For a movie which was born during the cuore of the mpaa's horror gore crackdown of the 80's, it was surprisingly (and refreshingly) shocking. OK, the skin was cheaply done, the Pinhead screen time short; but seeing Frank/Larry Cotton (Robinson) groan out, "Jeeeeesssssuuuussss Weeeeeepttt" and give a sadistic chuckle before being literally ripped apart da Pinhead and his cenobite gang actually gave me the chills!!I The Cenobites represented the unknown,, as horrific,, sadomasochistic demons from beyond. I I loved the special effects! Barker conveys the theme of the book- mankind's obsessions with pleasure and humans think we can control everything in & of this world. .NOTE: The video clip is from “Hellraiser 3: Hell on Earth” (1992)The original American poster didn’t even feature Pinhead because officials believed the character to be "too scary" for American children….“Hellraiser 3: Hell on Earth” (1992)The gore…in. “Hellraiser 3:” however is still present, but the quality of it doesn't come near the originals. The whole story now turns around the character of Pinhead. He now becomes the stella, star of this film and that IMHO was a bad move. He talks too much and he even starts to BECOME FUNNY. Which ISNT good for a horror icon.!!! (Look at what a joke Fred Krueger became).. "Hellraiser 3: Hell On Earth", is an seriously screwed up mess of a film. It has the unfortunate honor of being the first stinker in a series that got progressively worse.After ordering the box set,(( The first 3 films in the "Hellraiser" series, contained in an in a really cool box that is a replica of the 'Lament Configuration' puzzle box)) The original "Hellraiser" is a truly dark, hypnotically evil little film, filled with sadistic sex, grisly violence, and corrupt, sinister characters. It is one of the few films that I still find genuinely”chilly”. successivo came "Hellraiser 2: Hellbound", a film that is like I detto of the first, surprisingly great, and in some ways it even surpasses it's predecessor, with it's amazing and outrageous imagery, particularly it's unique vision of Hell. And Julia, an even più of a TuffAzz embodiment of evil, than Frank, who was from the first one. THEN comes along part 3!!An Americanized version, watered down and dumbed down da Hollywoods sillyazz’s poisoning influence. AND therefore as usual,,, Hollywood sucks out the power of a horror film, da adding sickening comic overtones!! Although Clive Barker IS an executive producer, his hand is nowhere near the screenplay,

I recomend the Original Halloween John Carpenter Halloween series,A nightmare on elm strada, via series and Friday the 13th series they are some of the scariest Film i've ever seen since i saw those nothing really scares me any

Ah heck, the Exorsist of course! It did make people faint in theatures seems like a good starting horror movie.

Let's see here...A Nightmare on Elm strada, via series (definitely one of a kind at least), & The Descent are two of my all-time favorites.

I'd also rec più unknown ones like Suspiria, AMUSEMENT<3, Battle Royale, the 3 Extremes series, High Tension, Dead Alive, Fright Night, The Gingerdead Man (it's really bad, but I appreciate bad campy movies), Planet Terror, Ichi the Killer, Repo! the Genetic Opera, Shallow Ground, Trailer Park of Terror...I have tons of recs! te can always browse through link. I have a ton of horror.

Attempting to communicate with the entity is strongly discouraged during a visit to their house da Dr. Fredrichs, a psychic who assesses that they are being plagued da a demon which feeds off "negative energy" and is intent on haunting Katie no matter where she goes. Dr. Fredrichs also recommends the two contact Dr. Abrams, a demonologist, and Micah's reluctance to do so leads to frequent arguments between the couple. Each night, Micah leaves the video camera on a tripod in their bedroom to record whatever might be occurring while he and Katie sleep. Martyrs, this is truly a one of a kind horror film, it's very creepy, disturbing, and bloody. And at times can be hard to watch, but worth the watch. Inside is also another one thats different then most that I highly recommend.

But if te don't want blood o at least very little, but still scary, A Tale of Two Sisters is a good ghost story. o Let the Right One In it's only kinda a bloody ha, great vampire movie though. Very different from any other vampire movie thats out now o has ever come out. Anyway hope these help.

It really depends if your looking for gore horror movies...like hostel is really gory....but if u want just plain BOO! then u should watch ju-on practically the jap version of the grudge but way scarier....ok soo i guess i recomend jap. horror films they are truely scary and they scare the crap outa me i cant watch it...My fav. horror of all time is the one and only Nightmare on Elms strada, via haah i Amore that movie GO FREDDIE!

The only few Film to ever slightly scare me were Jeepers Creepers 2 and The Grudge 1 and 2. Here's a trailer for the first Grudge, the introduction da Sarah Michelle Gellar kinda ruins it but still a good trailer.

If te whant the kind of Film that scare the crap out of te and are hard to watch with your eyes ope (well te cant really watch a movie with your eyes closed) i would recommend Wrong turn 2, The hills have eyes 1 and Silent Hill: Welcome to Silent Hill. In Wrong turn 2 a coule of ppl get Lost in woods and get HORRIFYINGLY killed da freaks who later eat them in hills have eyes, wll its almost the same and Silent collina is a one of a kind.A mother with her child, Alyssa, die in a car crash and they get trapped in the world of dreams and memories.Every ghost and monster in that tow relflect their minds.Its up to u to make a decision (I RECCOMEND SILENT HILL)

The ones which keeps te on the edge of your seats.

I Think two really!, good horror movie would be when a stranger calls and....Sleepy Hollow with Jhonny depp

My recommendations are:
Jeepers Creepers -very underated original horror flick.
The Descent -Very dark, gory and intense.
May -not scary but incredibly disturbing.
cabina Fever -genuinely scary throwback film.
Eden Lake - Another intense più realistic horror film.

I think the Friday the 13th series is scary. I really like these movies.

Check out some of the 8 horror Film from the film festival. Some of them are scary and some are cheesy. The scary ones are pretty good though, and original.

Ahh, I want recommend the Grudge :)
It is completely terrifying and te don't usually find Film like the Grudge, well except for a handful. Unless te didn't see it already, the Grudge would definitely be great for any horror fan!

I would definitely choose Poltergeist...cause that's one of the only scary Film that STILL creeps me out.

Creep is a cool movie.. And stephen King's IT. But I always get scared at the ending of Dark water, the asian one.. That girl is so nasty

Well u can't go wrong wid some of the classics such as the original : Halloween 1+2 (he just won't die)!!, The FOG, THE WICKER MAN(its strange rather than scary but wen i watched it aged 7 it scared the hell out of me) o i suppose nightmare on elm strada, via o JAWS.
Harder t get gud ones these days but the 'ORPHANAGE' is brilliant thou a foreign film its well worth it as its a great ghost story. other gud foreign ones wud be REC.,R POINT and THE HOST.Original grudge(ju on) and the Ring. Battle Royale is great 2 thou donno if its classed as a horror

28 Days later is a great film with an amazing theme, Wrong Turn, remake of the TEXAS Chain Saw Massacre, Dog Soldiers (good brittish horror),Darkness Falls (bit of a guilty pleasure lol), Jeepers Creepers, 30 Days of Nights(prob best vamp horror around),
Well anyho hope i've named some others haven't an that ya give em a go and like em, thou hopefully there'll be better 1's out in the cinema soon that are più scary than gorey

I'd start at the beguinning, "Nosferatu", "Freeks", "Der Cabinet of Dr Caligari", "Der Golum", "M", "Bride of Frankensten", "From Hell", "The Wicker Man" (the U.K. 70s Original) o if te just wanna be entertained with lightweight (but thouroughly enjoying b.grade horror) go rent "Slither", "Dharma (very scary)", "Brain Damage", "Dog Soldiers", "Freddie is allways good for a giggle, haha!"

If te don't mind subtitled movies, I suggest finding a movie called "Colic" It's about the crimes we carry past into our new lives even as newborns. First movie to freak me out and make me scream out loud besides Darkness Falls..

Anything that is ORIGINAL. Like the Original Halloween. OMG! spooky, te wont be able to sleep, the Musica is creepy on its own. Oh and the old scaring te with the unknown plays a bigger part than blood and guts.

Other than the Exorcist (which is and will be the one that scares me), giorno of the Dead is a great movie. Didn't necessarily scare me out of my pants, but it's very creepy and dark and makes te feel claustrophobic because of it all taking place underground. Great effects da Tom Savini!!! Rhoades being ripped in half is AWESOME!!!

"Monsturd" a modern classic . It's so good you'd swear Rob Zombie directed it .

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre REMAKE made me cry...the original was good and disturbing too..Saw is not scary but it's a disturbing, fun "what would i do in that type of situation" movie


and then there are the classics...Halloween, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street. The Shining

I like the old horror movies. Salem's lot and It, da stephen king. Well, all the Stephen kings are frighten and out there.
The Americam worewolf of Londra is a good one.
The newer ones I like: the Ring, 13 Ghost.
If te like the blood and guts, te would like the collina have eyes, wrong turn 2, all the saw movies.

The grudge 2 & 3. I've only seen the first one once and it kinda gave me a fright but thats the whole point why I like watching horror movies. I'm in it for the fun. I've been watching the grudge 2 & 3 so much they don't scare me as much no more. I Amore japanese horror movies. Including the Japanese horror movie ,"Shutter"...or is that movie Asian? :/

I've watched a number of horror films. I've seen enough to tell te that they all disappoint. Of course, they want to keep te thinking, but the endings just kill me each and every time. I never jump, hide, scream & barely ever flinch during horrors. They just don't get to me. Until I find one that does, I will continue to think they disappoint.
All that set aside, a very simple movie that wouldn't even be in my superiore, in alto 20 is "The Collector." But wait.. The interesting thing about this movie is that it comes with a sequel. "The Collection." The way they made them go together with Josh Stewarts character Arkin was pretty amazing. The ending was another "WTF" moment. But I'd say I actually enjoyed the film and didn't want to kick everything in my path over when I was finished with it like most of the horror Film I watch. So yes, I recommend te go and see
